Hows it feel with the ride Frank? Are you happy with them? Looks good on the ride height, but then the original setup wasn't too bad.

Great update mate. I cant wait for my KW's to be fitted now..they sound awesome! Its booked in for 12th March. I have no technical ability so it is going to RPM technik for fitting and geo etc.

I will then have the car back for the next London 964 meet!

Paul you just wouldn't regret it for a second, it's absolutely brilliant. I'll take you for a little spin round some roundabouts at the next meet if you like?!

The ride is spectacular, sooo smooth, precise and no roll. Mind you GT1 nocked the dampening softer by two clicks... i think I'm going to click it two clicks back to full hard again...

Sounds like a plan! You should consider looking at GT1, get them to give you a quote, does no harm.

GT One. Where do I start? They and specifically Peter are beyond everything you could dream of from a specialist.
Peter makes you feel like you are his only customer, he gives you all the time in the world, he'll happily chat about your car with you until you end the conversation with him yourself because you've got to go! Even though his garage was overspilling with lots and lots of Porsches of all kinds.

Peter has a great ear, he understands a customer relationship - simply listens, something that I find a bit rare with garages, they tend to plod on and take you for some know nothing wallet with a half decent car.

He understood I was on a limited budget as previously said and tailored my big service and geo into a fixed price package. One that he lowered and lowered on his very own accord until he matched a previous price package I had been offered from another specialist.

Peter then followed to update me every step of the way, letting me know of any surprises along the way offering to trim conservatively off certain areas in order to keep costs down. It was wonderful not finding out about the surprise after they were rectified/ with the bill.

On arrival to pick the 964 up today Peter went through all the work with me, again by his own accord taking the time to talk me through all the work done and the things I didn't understand, he showed me illustrations being very careful to make sure he hadn't lost me with technical jargon.

All in all it has been a wonderful experience, in Peter's own words: 'a business man would just say, that's the cost deal with it, but I want lasting relationships' Peter is an enthusiast not just a business man and it shows and so it's the beginning of another 964 induced relationship.

Vic, thank you so much for the recommendation. And Paul if you go for the KWs I know just the right garage for the job

WOW, The car looks perfect! Sits just right. Did he set it to RS Ride Ht and Geo? I see you have 18's so perhaps a little special magic... GT1 sounds like the right shop too. Wish I were there to meet him.

I took a personal day from work today and had my new tires mounted and then back to the garage to play with the bump/rebound settings. I settled at 1 full turn back from full hard on the rebound (top), and .75 turn back from hard on bump. It's firm but not jarring. I love it. Only thing left to do now is a full geo/corner balance and all set.

Guys, I echo Franks sentiments completely. What a transformation! KWV3

Got mine at RS height, rebound and damping at 50%

Still think I can go with less rebound for everyday driving, but great for back-roads. Little or no roll.

What a difference a V3 makes

Looking at yours, mine seems a tad lower than RS, and the geo is set for the 18s.

Trouble is I'm going to have to roll the lip under the front arches, shouldn't be too expensive?

I'll take you up on that one Frank

From your comments it sounds like it's pretty smooth and presumably a fairly comfortable ride. Without running the risk of sounding old, that would be an important factor for me, as I have a few old war wounds to look after ha ha!!

Certainly, I shall forward their email to you Frank. It was all very encouraging and pretty good value I thought.

The hot film conversion is at the top of my list. Suspension upgrade is now also up there and I'd like to restore the interior, update the sound system...
