Default 964 PROGRESS - Respray

Hi there!

A bit of background,

In 1985, my old man after years of promising himself bought a Carrera 3.2 Targa in Guards (pictured below) off the showroom... I fell in love...

Unfortunately he sold it...

The 930 is like gorgeous model that turns into a werewolf when you put your foot down.

I bought my Black 964 in March of this year... I've been posting for a while now but haven't made a formal introduction...

My car is a 1990 Carrera 4, since buying it I have done the following modifications after flirting with ideas over the summer... and with the great help received through rennlist... truly thank you!

...I recently installed a stainless Cat bypass and long neck G-Pipe... which I am absolutely thrilled with... there are definite power gains...

(a rolling road will tell and an ECU upgrade from 9m would be great)

...the exhaust note is truly spectacular and surprisingly perfect to live with... only when throttle is wide open does she sing like a beast!

The exhaust note truly makes Ferraris sound like school girls! But hey that's because we are air-cooled

I have just installed some 3-piece Veloce wheels with great new rubber.... all ordered from PWS after a recommendation... what a spectacular service they provide! It's nice when customer relationships are helpful/ friendly and work like clock work... thank you Peter!

I have also just had installed a new sound system... (that will always be turned off while going through tunnels) JBL front & rear speakers, tweeters, crossovers all installed in the right places without loosing any of the factory grills of course!

And a few other boring Jobs!

I just want take the opportunity to thank Rennlisters... Rennlist makes Porsche ownership a dream.

Since today was a day off... I spent 3 hours cleaning my car today... now thats therapeutic...

Frank

that is one sweet looking car...

If I were to sell me Guards Red C4 Cab then a Black C4 Coupe would be it's replacement.

Whats the trim colour?

Beautiful car!!! I will have a 930 one day. My goal is to own one of all 3 models from the 80's...if these water pumpers don't eat up all my cash first.

Well he's driven it, but sadly only around the block! I'll have to get back to you on that one with a new thread one day....

....however having driven his 930 I can tell you that from my perspective... the 964 feels 'alot more together' it's the same just improved

Hi Lee,

Thank you... the interior in black leather with red piping... with an uprated steering wheel.

I just use simple off the shelf products,

Today used:
Triplewax body shampoo.
T-Cut original colour restorer.
Triplewax car polish.
And a bunch of Autoglym products.

Although one day I may buy some Swissvax...

The girlfriend just pointed out that I have one bottle in the shower, shampoo/ body wash all in one and 10 car products....

....for me the subtitle 'invigorating body wash' belongs on a car wash bottle
