Looking good Lee, say whose done the cage again?
Tell me, looking at pictures of the cup cars and RSs, some of the cage sits on the top of the arch, and some go to the firewall, and if hardcore like the cup cars, it carries through into the engine bay to the top of the top struts.
Can you tell me, does it matter where the cage sits at the back?
Am liking the criss-cross bars, normally the RS ones just have one bar across.

I originally wanted a Matter style cage but after studying 100's of pics and speaking to well respected cage builders I decided to go for a different design.
The matter cage is a 20 year old design and I am told that a lot of the newer cages now have the harness bars further back to reduce stresses on the driver in the event of an accident.
Cage was built by ETA Motorsport at Brands hatch, check out some of their work

Matter did different designs for the 964 RS's and Cups and some went into the engine bay and some did not. It depends on what you want the car for and now when fitting, whether you want to take the engine out.

Mine is a bit similar to yours with the double cross, with the cage going to the corner of the firewall. Will post some pics a bit later.
Looks like its coming on fast, whens the roof getting done and paint inside the cabin?

Lee, your making fantastic progress, car is hard core A few questions in regards to your suspension. The car has a nice stance and judging by a picture on the first page looks like it handles quite nicely. Is Roock a local Porsche tuner to you? What kind of spring rates lbs are you running frt/rear and are you using RS specs for ride height and alignment?

Roock is a well known German brand that has been around for years.
I have been very impressed Roock setup although I am changing for a setup more akin to a race car so my setup will be for sale soon.

With the progress you're making Lee you could get it booked on to the RS day at Oulton Park (4th March) and benchmark its performance against lots of examples of the real thing.....bookings opened today and will likely be full up within a few days

Having just had a son and a house move soon, track days are precious and I already have Spa, Brands, Bedford and Silverstone planned for 2011.
I am going to get out this year for at least one more as soon as my car is finished.
I might do the Abbeville day however, it says you can book that but I can't see a link?
Cheers

AFAIK there's no link up for the Abbeville event (16/17 June) yet. There shouldn't be as a big a rush for that one, so you'll have plenty of time to book when it opens
