Update

I have now deleted the headlight washers, stereo and a couple of interior switches like the RS and replaced them with OEM RS blanks.

My car goes in for the weld in full cage on Saturday and will have the sunroof sealed and painted at the same time.

I have a mornings worth of prep to do Saturday before it gets delivered to Roll cage fitter..... spot weld drilling and removing of seat/trim brackets for interior paint.

pic of front end without headlight washers.

Looking good Lee, hope to see the cage and the sunroof sealed. Keep up the good work!

You fitted the suspension yet?

Take your time, as winter is coming Am sure the setup is'nt that bad.

I bet your looking forward to getting the cage in and roof work.

Lee, what exactly are you getting done on the roof? Are you taking all the sunroof gubbings out, and sealing the roof? Last week I took my motors out, cord, sunroof panel and boyyyyy was it all fiddly! Now I know why theres a zip at the back of the headlining!ha

Norm was the sunroof bits heavy?

Everything is being taken out of mine and the roof panel is being spot welded in place then made good.

My bodyshop guy reckons he can get the interior tidy enough for an oem roof lining.

The stuff he has done for me so far has been spot on.

Re the suspension, its great but I want a serious setup

Its a little bit heavy as you have all the gubbings ie metal cord, sliders, sunroof liner panel, and the sunroof motor. Obviously your taking the rooflining off when you take all the glass out right?

Will they be taking out the brackets on the side of the roof where the 2nd skin that holds the sunroof?

If you ever want it doing properly, call 9m and speak to Marc, he does it on all the 9mRS's we build and we've not had a complaint yet.....

Thanks but a little bit far for me unfortunately, and great work is not solely exclusive to one person.

The guys I am using built a race car for my best man who used to race in F3000/GP2 and is very knowledgeable and also fussy, the standard of work is amazing.

I do not plan on doing this twice and have deliberated a great deal about who I use for this.

Very excited, and hope the car will be ready for a trip to Goodwood next month.

Did you ever consider replacing the entire steel roof with a carbon roof?

What is done is the pillars are kept and a much bigger sunroof cut is done and then the CF roof is glued.
