Back in the saddle again; boy is it good to be posting updates about the build of our new icon!
Marc and the team have been really busy building the blue 9m93RS CS whilst waiting on deliveries for the 9m11RS-R, so now that the 9m93 has finally powered from the back shop under it's own steam we can clear the decks and start laying out all the parts which are now arriving from left, right and centre in preparation for the resumption of the build next week. I almost don't know where to start, so here you go with a few updates on the goodies that I have managed to photograph so far.
Starting off in the interior we start with a pair of Recaro XL SPG with Recaro runners and a contrasting pair of Schroth harnesses, as used in the 996 & 997GT3.

There is something about expensive, new chassis parts that always pushes my switches. In the boxes are a pair of 993GT2 front uprights, wheel bearings, flanges, RS top mounts, GT2 steering arms, RS discs and more. As soon as the benches have been cleared of the other build remnants I'll lay them out and post better photos.

Yes, Mr Nunn to the rescue again. With the recaros being the extra wide version I don't think we can use the standard Porsche RS parts, not to mention the cost advantage.
Anyway, please keep your eagle eyes to yourself in future, you can't go giving away all our secrets!

And, as a sweetener, here is the new GT3 crankshaft still in the wrapper from Porsche and a first look at the new 9m billet connecting rods, straight from the shot blasters with the bore masks in place...

Finally for today, possibly when you thought that it could not get any better, how about a set of left & right hand M72 wheel nuts for the new 9m centrelock system?
The CNC machined hubs are currently at the electro-platers being annodised; hopefully by the time they come in we will have the suspension in place and can show them on the car.

Finally, as promised, I get to show you what has been happening in the background for the last month or so:
First up are the key suspension components. I showed you the KW Clubsport kit in the box, now we're fitting it we notice the revised bump adjusters on the bottom of the shocks which are going to make tuning the set up so much easier on track.
