Without sounding too antisocial, or more likely paranoid, i'd suggest only small(ish) groups meeting before heading into Wales as i've heard stories that from around the end of the M56 / Queensferry the Police forces have been known to radio ahead if they see groups of cars and bikes heading out for the day. Ten 964's would definately stand out in the traffic going towards the ***.

Saying that Wikkid and I always stop for fuel at Shell on the A494 on the way in...

I'd take it as read that so many Porsches are absolutely bound to attract attention - so everyone will just have to behave themselves. :-)

Can you please text that to Dave at some point.

I know we have got some attention in the past but that was only with 7 or 8 cars, imagine what 20+ will do.

It's bad enough watching the road without driving with the sunroof open to watch for the helicopter as well......

Could all meet up at Chester services on M56?
Chester Services would be good for me too. How about just before 10am for those that want to meet up?

For the past 5 days or so, many of the Shell garages on the Wirral have been out of V-Power. Don't know if it's the same in North Wales though.

Off to Tesco .com to see where the nearest 99 ron is then. I'm sure Mold have it (just double checked and the website specifically listed 99 Super Unleaded - TFFT)

Cant wait now. Get my car back from Unit 11 on friday just had new headers and a clutch ouch. Dont know if I will be able to afford the petrol now, although John at unit 11 is really nice guy and sounds like hes done a great job.
Is anybody going from southport area or fancy meeting up somewhere think after what John said I may avoid Runcorn bridge and take the tunnel.

Does anyone know if there is some parking at our meeting point in Ruthin? The reason I ask is that my 964 will not be ready this weekend (still having engine rebuilt at Unit 11) so will have to be in a reserve car. If I can leave the reserve there and jump in a passenger seat that would be great?

Steve, there's a residential road right next to the garage that ought to do - I intend to use it as overspill parking as we meet up. I'm sure the garage itself wouldn't mind it on their forecourt either if you ask them. They are well used to having us meet up there (with somewhat less cars...).

Don't be too concerned about making the initial meet-up - if everyone does, it could get a bit out of hand. I'd like cars to keep setting off on the route/s as they arrive. Some may have time to do both routes and perhaps do a bit of exploring, others only the first route, perhaps doing more after lunch. For example, the roads have quite a different character driven the other way round.

We'll all meet up at lunchtime, where there's plenty of room, as the main focus.

Nick, I only live in Rainford, so will be 5 minutes to Haydock Island. I will have to fuel up at the Shell anyway. Lets me meet there, give me a time, and I will see you there

Will PM you my mobile, and you can text me

Guys, I'm in Appleton, South Warrington, 2 mins off M6 J20 (lymm) or M56 J9 (A49). If your passing I would love to tag along.

Steve, as I said last Friday, you are welcome to jump in with me as I'm only 5 mins from you.
The only reason I may not go is the weather, if it looks like a long wet miserable day I may give it a miss!

Lets hope for a nice (mainly dry) day!!

Simon
