Default They're back! Rennlist North Wales Run - Sunday March 21st.

Yes, it's that time once again - Drive, Chat, Eat, Laugh.

Bring along a car - preferably a 911 and preferably a 964 at that - a packed lunch and a desire to have fun.

Expect to take home new friendships and a contented glow.

Everybody welcome, especially newcomers.

I'll remind people of the rendezvous later, but it's in Ruthin at 11.00am - we'll be setting off at 11.30 sharp.

There is no pressure to go at a particular pace - if you like, I'll give you a plan of the route including rest and lunch spots, and then you can make your own progress as you see fit.

There is just one rule - you are there to enjoy yourself in a like-minded, pressure-free, rather too jolly at times, friendly group.

So step forward, and put the date in your diaries.

I have uploaded a map of the route that can be downloaded and printed off from THIS LINK. Note that the Esso garage at Ruthin doesn't have super unleaded (last time I checked), but this is available at several petrol stations on the way there, and also at the Shell garage at Betws-y-coed, marked on the map. As for directions, the road to take out of Denbigh starts as a small one-way street right in the centre of town, on the left, just at the crest of the hill. The only other non-obvious turn is the B4501 on the Blue Route. This lies just after the National Watersports Centre.

The rendezvous Esso garage at Ruthin has a rather lumpy forecourt - beware; the bumps are where the access manhole covers are and, as the area is plain concrete, they're very deceptive - you could easily scrape your bottom on them. So to speak...

Also, the lunch spot I've chosen is big enough to accommodate lots of cars, but doesn't have any seating, so it might be an idea to bring a chair or two if you're able, or something to sit upon on the grass.

Reminds me of my former profession's motto - Per adua ad astra, or something like that - in adversity, you'll be stuck with a boring Vauxhall.

If it's a game i can see Ollie's RS and RobH's car as well and i guess it's Pesty and not the Shadow.

I think this was the day RobMug's car was rechristened Carrera 2 Stig due to the lack of a rear badge and him being non too happy about it.

Hmm. When I looked out the picture I thought 'There's Paul,' but now I'm not so sure.

Once you've been on a few more, Russ, you will learn that we always have great weather.

Hard to believe that we have days like in those pics, what with the current climate. Sure hope we have a glorious summer, with plenty of NW runs.... just thinking about it, makes me want to put my shades on

Don't invite the Police this time. I think Dave's keeping a low profile .

It always amazed me that you said we could just drive over that lake and then it was straight up the slope on the other side.
