I got lucky. The car was owned by the father of one of Mrs. Noah's best friends, and I've/we've known the dad for years as well. So when he was ready to sell after a lifetime of soccer finally got to his knee and made it too difficult to drive a clutch, his daughter mentioned to me to give him a call.
But right before Craigslist started charging $5 for car ads (so maybe 6 months ago?), I recall seeing a listing for a silver 993 cab (maybe for sale in Tarzana?) asking $35K. It had over 100K miles, but the pics and description made it look very clean. So I think if you are fortunate enough to run into a seller who has had the car for a long time (decades), lives in an upscale location (so they're willing and able to spend money for proper maintenance, and have garaged the car), and is selling due to health issues or to make way for their new 992, then deals can be had.

current number for agreed value policy
hate value threads as much as the next guy, but this one is not "will my car appreciate", or "how much should I expect to pull if I list it on BaT", etc.
genuine ignorance on my part concerning the correct number to update my agreed value policy to going into this driving season.
I've looked at the value plots on BaT, but they vary wildly. looking for realistic feedback from those who are in this market daily.
it's a late '91 c2 manual, polar silver/black, 120,000km (74,500 miles), tastefully modded to rs style (Steen's car which I imported from Vancouver Island a few years back).
current agreed value for my policy is $55k. i realize this is probably a few years lagging reality.
question is: how much should I increase it for current market to be in the ballpark for like-for-like replacement?
thanks all

Hello. I went through this earlier this year in January with my 964 C4 manual which sits at only 38,103.00 miles. I increased my AVI from $65K to $85K without any increase to my premium, albeit I insure 7 other cars with them, so they gave me a break there. Hope this range helps. Sounds like you have a gem there. Good luck and stay safe!.
you take care too.
cheers!

One more thing, car is not noted as a daily driver and the yearly mileage is at the minimum 1000 miles per year. If you change those parameters the premium goes up. Truth is sadly I drive that car maybe 200 miles per year under normal circumstances. It's the one on my avatar. I need to get out and drive more after this mess is over. Take care @s4vant

I have an agreed value of $85k for my 93 C2 with 62k miles. I don't believe I can find another in like condition for this amount. Don't forget agreed value or replacement value has little to do with anything unless the damage is significant. I hear many of these companies will pay out at 50% damage of agreed value. They know they can sell these for big money damaged or to someone looking to part them out.

If it is a manual with late engine and in decent condition you got a good deal. The engine and trans alone are worth close to that. It is a shame the cabs don't get the love the coupes and targas are.
