That is my confusion and I made the same mistake it would be C18 (RHD Japan) But in either case another unique series of cars. As darylbowden said the issue with the N/GT's is what can you do with them? Unlike the US spec cup cars and RS, basic or Touring which are street legal for the most part and decent to drive on the street these cars are beautiful show pieces and a part of history but somewhat useless to the average Porsche driver. I still prefer the US cup despite them all being white as a driver.

I've heard you say before that NGT's and 993RS CS aren't street registrable. I don't think I've ever seen one that wasn't street registered. Is your comment about the fact that is a caged car that for safety reasons you wouldn't want to drive on the street? Or are you suggesting you can't get street registration?
In the Macau cars, they may have leather over the rollbar but it's still just as dangerous obviously. I can say from my friend's POV it was a car that came alive under certain conditions but it was so hardcore it just wasn't enjoyable under more normal street conditions. And since you're unlikely to take a very rare car to a racetrack often enough to get out of it what it's capable of, he sold it on. I'll say that he sold it in part to fund an acquisition of a '73 RS and that car is (in his opinion) a 100x better car to drive on the street, canyons, etc - it has all the positive qualities but without being overly punishing (and in the case of the rollbar, dangerous).

Also, I meant roll cage, not rollbar as they have the full door bars, etc in them.

yeah. I've been a track safety snob too. Roll cages without helmets are indeed dangerous. You could argue, so are 30+ year old cars, motorcycles, etc. We all make decisions on what levels of risk we will take. My question was less about "is it safe", and more "is it legal".

I may have put it incorrectly. Apparently laws have become a bit more relaxed over the years. Technically If it doesn't interfere with the operation of the vehicle they are legal. However that is a very gray area. If it impacts the crumple zone or how the car is supposed to handle a crash it can easily be held over your head as someone I knew found out the hard way. I have no idea how a factory installed cage would hold up in courts if it was never crash tested. Your guess is as good as mine but not worth finding out IMO.
Seems anything can be registered with the 25 year law.

I hadn't considered the insurance liability.
You actually have a friend who got into hot water because cages impact the way crumple zones work? wow. They were denied an insurance claim? Or they were sued by someone else in the accident?
both would be a rude awakening...

That PTS Green Pearlescent car seems like a relative bargain...

I agree, it's 1 of 1. From an old thread on the Early 911S forums, Susanne Porsche (ex-wife of Wolfgang) owned an '89 PTS Pearlescent Green C4 with a wild Armani-like interior. Either someone else at the firm wanted the same exterior color, or maybe she swapped out her '89 for a '90?
Green has long been a favorite color of various members of the Porsche family.

That is crazy money for the 3.3 with so many modifications. Too many to justify the buy in IMO makes me question Actual miles.
The lavender is actually Violet blue metallic. Same spec as the 3.3T I helped import Interesting how a few years ago this combo was never seen before then. So unless this is the car Ray sold about the same time now 2 3.6T's and a 3.3 all to the same spec. $500k sounds about right for this market.
The pics of the pearlescent green 90 C4 look identical to my Amazon in the sunlight. How different are these colors? Amazon wasn't offered until 1991 so I am speculating that they made it a color after painting that car. The interior is quite unique. The underside looks awful with oil leaks and under panels painted cars exterior color so odds are a full repaint and might not be the original color.
