Default 8V Dyno Mash

A lot wrong with comparing but interesting none the less, especially the shape rather than absolute numbers. I have collected A LOT of dyno run data but hoping no one has a problem with posting. Let me know if you do and I will take it down.

Note also that Tom M'Guinn was running pump fuel rather than E85 which has a significant impact on tuning (especially up top).

Sid was running a slightly modified stock intake, Tom a SFR intake, Pat and I custom intakes.

I believe all of these runs were in the 24-25 psi range.

Patrick a 3.1L, 88 mm stroke, Shawn 3.1L 94.75 mm stroke, Sid 2.85L 86 mm stroke, Tom 3L 88 mm stroke.

I'm sure Sid is over the top of me now, but interesting all the same and thanks for taking the time Shawn. That dip in my trace around the 4500rpm mark was wheelspin, not a tuning abnormality.

Hello refresh 951,

Could you explain the tom mcGuinn pump gas comment , Im not understanding the pump gas effect on top end power ...

Big numbers by all .....

That should be interesting Shawn. Are you at similar altitude as Sid?

E85 allowing a lot more ignition timing after peak torque. E85 is amazing stuff, I have run 25 psi with up to 35 degrees of ignition timing (at 6K) without any knock counts.

The only thing i can say that you cannot compare would be the engine size bore and stroke. from my understanding, that will play with curves with different intakes. Still cool though!

SFR vs 333pg333 manifolds...

surely youre all running different turbos but with the similarities of curves from such different engines, maybe this is showing the 8v head limits? "limits" is a relative term as of course each of these cars would eat the face off most LS cars (in case OD is lurking)
