Tim had no choice but to make a new manifold, how much benefit would that plenum and throttle body give with an 8V head I wonder ? I still think the inlet should be opposite the runners like a Cosworth.

Any chance you could post up some basic dimensions? My application would be slightly different as it would be for an 8V. Mainly looking for dimensions on the plenum.
Yes that's the one. You have cut a little of the width and the length also. Some welding involved but its a good shape and a nice strong casing.

The bellmouth is machined into the plate on a CNC milling machine. It then as a recess in the other side for the runners to sit, welding to both sides and then port and finish. Then its a case of fitting and welding the plenium on.

Your right I had to make a new manifold, mainly because there was nothing out there for a 16 valve, nothing I liked the look of anyway.
Whether it would be any good on a 8 valve only trying it will tell. I think the plenum works well, all four cylinders burned equal, spark plugs all same colour. no cylinder trim required and it made dam good power.

I have now got the intercooler made and installed. It as a 100mm/4inch bar and plate core, I have a 63mm inlet on the left hand bottom corner and a 70mm outlet on the right hand top corner. I've just got the connection pipes to make.

Its all coming along nicely, I'm also waiting for my flywheel and clutch to be made and I should then soon have her up and running.

Some pictures of intercooler.

How long until you have it on the rolling road Tim? Be good to compare temps with the new i/c.

It's all coming together nicely Tim. Shame you're not a few weeks further down the road to completion as there is a 944 Dyno Day down in Thruxton next weekend. It would have been great to get your beast along

I'll be interested to see how it all gets plumbed up in the space.

Paul, Surely you don't think I've made an intercooler and fitted it, without first working out how its going to be piped up.

No Tim, I first wondered how it was going to be piped up when I saw the inlet manifold

Does look like it's going to be tight coming up from the bottom there?

I believe the compressor is clocked down. Pretty cool configuration.
