Tim - what oil weight? I would be very hesitant to run over the stock redline without a dry sump due to the potential for oil pump cavitation.

It is well documented that there is a weakness in our motors wrt the oiling system. Many theories around but it is clear the risk goes up significantly with thin oil and at rpm's over the stock redline which is 6500 rpm.

Keep us updated Tim. Always great to see a different perspective on these cars/motors.
You were revving to 8000rpm..?? How??

When I dropped off the replacement crank I think he was planning less revs after the rebuild. I don't see it holding together for long at 8k without a dry sump setup.

Well its finally back together and on the dyno. Fired it up this evening and all seems good, except I seem to have an air leak on the manifold. I will sort this in the morning and then hopefully get down to some mapping.

Keep it coming Tim. We haven't forgotten you.
Also, I'm sure people would like to see the pics of your manifold etc that was shown elsewhere. Please post them up. :-)

The inlet manifold is pictured on page three having been crackle blacked and fitted to the engine.
I have been mapping my engine this evening. I have made some alterations to it and I'm going to be a little more conservative with both rev's and boost.
I've took the compression ratio up to 9 to 1 and I'm going to map it on the small turbo, boost to back pressure. We would have had it finished this evening but the wastegate pipe split and was to hot to repair. Its looking very promising though, hard on boost at 2750, 500 lbs ft at 3000 and keeps that torque through to 6500 and that's when the pipe broke.
I'll put up a dyno sheet when finished.
Nice to see your cars going well. Great result.
