Did you check all the ground in the car?

Didn't you redo your wiring harness? Is it possible you have a bad crimp our solder joint? It sounds like a bad solder joint to me. Whether it be the DME KLR or the wiring harness I would say inner of those 3.

If your KLR turned off, the whole car would stumble wouldn't it?

Not sure if the klr can cause a DME reset but easy enough so I will give it a try.

For reference: to bypass the klr you disconnect klr connector and jumper klr pin #9 and klr pin #16 on the klr connector.

I just like to eliminate the variables, especially when so easy

I wouldn't count out a bad solder joint. My 924S had some bad solder joints in the DME which led to some weird issues to where finally it would just randomly shut off.

Definitely a possibility, may look at the DME again tonight.

No spare DME and not so easy to swap as my DME has been modified for M Tune and some other stuff. I ordered the LR ref harness and will have it on Thursday.

Idle would change... as a well as AFR Maybe your KLR has some loose solder connections

Ahah, that was you with the weird behavior where moving the box around alleviated the problem. I was going to recommend laying the DME/KLR on the floor earlier but I couldn't remember too many of the details and didn't have the time to search. Perhaps some light tapping on the case of the DME and KLR to see if you can replicate the fault with any sort of consistency.
