Did you check all the ground in the car?
Didn't you redo your wiring harness? Is it possible you have a bad crimp our solder joint? It sounds like a bad solder joint to me. Whether it be the DME KLR or the wiring harness I would say inner of those 3.

Yes
Not sure if the klr can cause a DME reset but easy enough so I will give it a try.
For reference: to bypass the klr you disconnect klr connector and jumper klr pin #9 and klr pin #16 on the klr connector.

Yes, thanks for the suggestion, I will try it for sure tonight.
Definitely a possibility, may look at the DME again tonight.
No spare DME and not so easy to swap as my DME has been modified for M Tune and some other stuff. I ordered the LR ref harness and will have it on Thursday.

Weird ... A post showed up in my email but there was nothing when I got to the site ... I would move the KLR around, when you have the car running, and see if there is a loose connection in the box itself ... (Like I had)
Idle would change... as a well as AFR Maybe your KLR has some loose solder connections
Regards
Ed

Ahah, that was you with the weird behavior where moving the box around alleviated the problem. I was going to recommend laying the DME/KLR on the floor earlier but I couldn't remember too many of the details and didn't have the time to search. Perhaps some light tapping on the case of the DME and KLR to see if you can replicate the fault with any sort of consistency.
