The advantage of having it write data directly onto the video is more for a quick visual reference. Scouring through data via the dash / laptop is fine but sometimes more arduous and time consuming. Being able to quickly reference brake and acceleration points, g's, steering angle etc via the video is why I went with the AiM setup. Having it available to watch 'Hot off the press' without having to mix it at home at a later date is attractive. We've got all the info in the world to pore over via dash and sensors too but imho I think having it as a direct video reference will be a benefit. Are you required to have the two cameras by your race body?

Like the blade setup. As usual, nice work!

For me, I have to have 2 cameras for racing in case there is contact or some other on-track incident. No way around that.

So I can pull the memory stick and hand it over to officials and/or I can upload the video to my laptop and run it through TrackVision and get the whole fancy video with overlay deal.

As cool as they are... the AIM units just don't work for what I have to have.

After countless hours doing measurements and calculations, and a lot of head scratching.... The bump steer is less than .4mm over 60mm of wheel travel (30mm up from rest and 30mm down from rest).

Tony, that looks like a VERY nice solution. Glad to see you and your shop continued to work on this and figured out a solution that should be strong enough to solve the problem without breaking or bending. Lot's of stress on that part, especially under braking.

Qualified 3rd, finished 1st place in GT1 (my class) and 2nd overall on Saturday at Willow Springs Raceway.

Car had some handling issues turned out that one of the JRZ shocks is broken. Zero damping. So I didn't bother to race in that condition Sunday.

Very hot day and the car ran very cool everywhere.

Car is back at Vision to deal with some more suspension development as well as the finishing of the rear diffuser.

Sounds like quite a beast you've got there, taking podium while still being shaken-down/sorted out.
Good to hear about cooling, it was hot this weekend!
