Screw dealing with this copy paste on this phone. I'll do it later. Lol

Here is quick pic of the delrin buttons I made. On the first go I didn't thread them. On my spare I tapped the axle and threaded the button. The idea is to keep the cage within the races. At This Point I'm pretty confident that they have helped. These particular axles that are installed are not anything special. I decided to just try these buttons on an inferior set just to see. I feel they are a success. I'm pretty sure I would have broken a joint with the hard launches I've been doing.

It's a simple, easy, cheap mod.

Do the inserts go on both ends?

I am quite sure it is only one end and the latest version are threaded in, not pushed in as the ones in the picture. Sid will post further pics when he gets some time. I just ordered all the parts to build up a very strong set of axles. I will have Sid add these Delron buttons to the ends of my new chromoly shafts from Xschop.

So far I've just done the outside ends. I tried both ends, but there isn't enough clearance to fit the axle in without removing the Trans brace. I don't usually break the inners.

We'll see how well they work today. I'm up racing in a comp race. So far they've held for two runs. Just running low boost to stay under 11.50

Just updating this as I go along. Again the delrin buttons seem to be working ok. I am still on the same axles.

After racing weds and blowing up the IC coupler I decided I'd go up on friday (actually my daughter talked me into it). I thought I had everything dialed but I had a new issue arise. The IC coupler came off right at the TB. I did get a decent run in to qualify(11.6@126+ on low boost) for king street but then on my first round run It blew off again at 18 psi. I didn't care bc I wanted to get out of there asap anyway. However, it did get the best 60' for awhile (no broken axle) and the 1/8mile et and mph were great. Doing the math, it should have ran around a 11.0-11.2 and definitely over 130. Fixed it and went home to watch fireworks somewhere else.

Drove the car all weekend through canyons. highways etc..was a fun weekend.

Couple pics from my adventures.

Ha, yes, certainly the odd one in the lineup Sid. Thanks for your continued updates. Really enjoy reading them. Nice pic with your two girls as well. :-)

Beautiful car. Not to sound weird but the picture of you and your daughter is exactly what I love about taking my daughter out for rides. I love our bonding moments in the 951. I took her to 115mph and built a love of classic, race inspired cars in her.

Lol, thanks Pat and Shawn.

One is my German mistress aka black bitch. The other is my Puerto Rican Dr. , Aka... girfriend

They're both quite fun in different ways. But they get along well.

Sorr for confusion, that's not my daughter. .

But yes, I love the bonding moments I've shared with her since she was a baby.

What do you think is causing the coupler to pop off?
Engine moving too much relative to the IC/pipes, clamps not good for pressure?
Maybe some extra-bendy couplers would be in order, the diesel accordion kind?
