Wow Sid, amazing work. I love following your progress and seeing the innovation you bring to the platform. Keep it up, I want to see a solid 10 second pass. I know you and the car have it.

Thanks.
I'm probably going to pull the axles tgus weekend to inspect whats going on. I'll take some pics and share them. Ill also be installing them into my spares too. So I'll take done pics of the whole process. It's pretty easy.
I'm looking forward to seeing what your car can do as well.

The end of my project is nearing as well, finished the intake manifold yesterday so i'll post some pictures of it soon as well, just need to get the TB on it and than we're on to the intercooler and the re-placing of the radiator as the intercooler won't fit..

Another week in the books for the OG hybrid stroker. Set a new record (matched it anyway). Also I think I've determined that the delrin buttons are working fine.
First I'll start off with my record setting MPH . I ran two 129mph runs tonight. Max boost on both was a little over18 psi. One of which was done practically idling off the line. (I don't want to hear any more excuses about breaking parts. I literally launched at 1600 rpms . You guys need to get to the track
The interesting thing about these two runs was how they both happened. One was a really bad tirespin run and the other was coming off idle. What is also of note is that the half track mph is down about 2 mph from last weeks runs. This means that if I launch the car hard and shift aggressively, that it should by all rights run 132-134 out the back door.
The next thing that I waould like to mention is that I now have launched the car really hard on these axles about 12 times. I thing the delrin buttons are working. I'll upload a pic at the end of this post.
And finally the end of the night..... I was gonna just go for it all. Launch it, shift it and run it al the way out. I was confident that it would go some great numbers, bothj in mph and et. Well,,,It got off teh line great. I raced teh same motercycle I had already raced twice and smoked him off teh line. Then I hit second... HUGE BANG!!! Nose flys off. ( I think this is three times now for this nose panel lol).
I immediately pull to the wall. Get out and look foroil, coolant, anything..... NAda... I see an intercooler coupler just shredded to pieces. I laugh and the crowd is asking what happened. I yell it to them and then get some applause. LOL, I'm sure it was quite entertaining.
Get to the pits, grab some duct tape and wrap it up and drive home.
Fun night overall. I id have some strange issues initially with a misfire. I ended up making a pass early on where it did the spin one tire all the way down the track thing due to not getting hot enough. However, It was popping down the track after it got going in third. Get back to the pits. Look at all the wiring, Pull a plug...ahh a smoking gun!! Gap was at .040 :-0. No wonder lol. Go ahead and regap and make a low boost run. 11.6 at 125.75 (14 psi run).
Here are a couple of pics. Might be a video on youtube later this week.

Here are a couple of pictures?!?! I'm missing those.. ;-)
But nice going on the progress! I'm really curious on the Delrin buttons now!
And the intercooler coupler; was it a good brand or just some simple one?

Sounds like a lot of fun Sid. Getting ready to go back to the strip in a couple weeks. What was your ET on that run in which you idled out? Curious how much time you lost.

Sorry about the pics. It was late and I'm working with a new phone. I'll see if I can get them uploaded here today. I can't figure out how to paste the link on this phone.
Shawn it went 11.8 on the idled off run. It went 11.54 on the spinning run.
I'm very close to my 130 goal. If I can g in a coupler today, I may go back up tonight.
Bas, these are good couplers, but very old. I got them used from a friend and I've been running them for around 7 years now. Thank goodness for duct tape

Great work out there! 130 here you come! I finally gave up and ordered a wiggins clamp for the throttle body and am adding braces from the intercooler to its pipes.

How does one go about adapting these to a 951 TB? EDIT: looks like there are fittings that need to be welded on?
