have to agree with him on this.

There really is no disagreement here, I just said something that was misinterpreted. Dave knows a lot about this stuff (duh) and he just wants to bully me around because he's a big fat meanie.

I've refrained here. But.

stock pump $00
83lb injectors $150 used
60-1 hi-fi Turbo $400 used
Staight pipe exhaust I welded $50 in tubes.
up pipe, and down pipe for turbo $100 in parts - I welded it
Larger intercooler Sponsor $150
Intercooler pipes. $100 parts - i welded
Russell Berry Chip $350
Rebuilt Clutch w/ceramic pucks $450
Used Drag radials $50
Total - $1700

Stock everything else. bottom end, Head, cams, intake, TB, manifold. Even on the stock flapper AFM.
I made right around 400whp and ran 11.9 @123mph.

I have since spent what feels like millions and gained 2mph in the quarter.
The huge difference would be on the road course / autocross. Not at the 1/4 mile.

So yeah, I could make our cars look really fast for a very little amount of money. But it truly wouldn't be. There really is a difference, but I could never explain it to where - Say, lets pick on the Honda Guys with Huge turbos - they could ever understand.

NAh, I love you in a non gay way. I'm just saying I don't want you tuning my car, lol.. No really, there are a few things you need to watch other than Peak HP on the dyno.

Timing and a/f's are key and that effects knock, egt's, etc.. There is a limit to your turbo/whole system and you found it but you may or may not have been able to get more TQ out of your setup if you set your timing correctly.

The big difference in your setup that you are conveiantly leaving out is weight. Tell is what your chopped up car weighs? 2300-2400?

I knew there would be a few things.

But.

Yes. weight was around the 2400 lb mark. later got it down to 2300. That is what helped me get a better time.

But the power was still there. Right around 400.
I also forgot to add that it was on a race gas tune on 110 octane and running 23lbs of boost.
And I'm taking out 044 pump. I was actually on the stock pump when I ran that time!! I was just worried about it and changed it out soon after.

Now, I pale in comparison to SID on this one.

Now, was this a reliable everyday on the street set-up. No way. I usually kept boost to 18. This was every few times a month 23psi run.

No real need to TT an LS to get sick numbers though..... a single turbo 404CI low comp motor is just fine...
