I removed the plastic collars on the side because two of my coils had them made of rubber and two had plastic. The 6.0 coils had fully rubber collars and they did not interfere with the valve cover. Maybe that is the reason why mine fitted and yours did not?
With these coils you cannot sink the plug so deep because 16mm hexagon goes inside of the metal heat shield but 21mm one (like on S/S2 head) it will not. Coil still works without issues.

As you can see in the image, my coils have to be pushed on all the way onto the valve cover to make a solid connection but no way i'm able to get a connector on. I'll check with adapters this afternoon what they will do!

So this is what i came up with.
The spark plugs still stay well in the insulated area so there is no risk involved here. Still it would be nice to have it different! (these are 21mm spark plugs)

Steel, didn't dare to use alu as it has about 20000 volts running through it. Aluminium is ofcourse capable of this but also has the tendency of passing on heat very quick which i do not want there.
But to be honest, it doesn't really matter at all!

Few updates, finalised the intercooler and mounted both fans to the cooling radiator.
The intake piping is quite short from intercooler to manifold...to be precises, there is none Only a 80mm long silicone coupler that connects intercooler and manifold.
About a month and half until snow is gone and I can boost the hell out of this thing. Can't wait!

Exhaust is finished. Custom 3" with Simons resonator and muffler. Had to extend the tip of the muffler to reach the bumper edge properly. But it's a nice oval one similar to factory one. I will wrap downpipe with tape to reduce heat.

Well, today was the first drive, but it was just from the garage to yard because I discovered a leak from one of the crossover pipe v-bands. Tomorrow will loosen the bolts and tighten the v-band, then should be alright.
Few bits and pieces still left to be done including a cleanup etc, but most is done.

How long are you going to run without an Air Filter?
