Default Goin' bigger so need a larger MAF, anyone want my SciVision?

Hey guys,

Preparing to go 2.7 here shortly and will probably exceed to current capabilities of my SciVision MAF. I'm going to be putting it up for sale here pretty soon and want to see interest.

It has served me perfectly and i wouldn't consider getting rid of it if I were staying with a 2.5.

It would come with everything needed to mount it behind the headlight:

K&N air filter
Bosch MAF unit
Translation computer
SFR SS J-pipe
All silicone connectors/clamps
Chips (mapped for K26/8, 55lb injectors, 3bar FPR, 3" test pipe/no cat, Tial, MBC, 16-18 psi)

I'd be looking to get $1000 for everything. I don't think it has more than 2k miles on all the components. Post here or shoot me a PM if interested. Right now everything is still on the car so it may be a little while.

Darwin, from my understanding the Scivision will handle some decent hp. There's another thread running here...below is a statement made by Russell regarding capabilites/limitations of the Scivision MAF. Are you looking at going beyond those hp #'s?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The MAF used in the Scivision kit is capable of 680 Kg/h, up to 380 RWHP, as quoted by Thomas (transaxle)."

Interesting...you'd think that would be one of the parameters Russell would outline in his order form i.e. what are your hp goals? The order form as it is, implies that some fairly substantial hp is available/capable due to the fact the order form outlines some BIG turbo's & injectors choices??? Some of which would generate some impressive hp numbers (400rwhp+)

Initally the Scivision could probably get the car running, but I want to shoot for 400+ (I'm considereing going 3L 8v, MAYBE). The SciVision is an awesome product for a mild 2.5, but from what I've been reading, it just can't flow enough for big HP levels.

It probably won't be until after I'm back home in Texas, sorry! Don't really have the resources out here to do anything big like this.

You may want to check out the MAF translator pro that Rogue uses.

Honestly I only have a POS link piggyback myself and it works great but the translatorpro is head and shoulders above that and it will handle whatever HP your turbo and chips can handle. There would be no need to ever look to a larger MAF

So, are you saying it's not physically big enough?
What's the diameter of the throat?
