Really, is that legal?

Anyhow, that video sold me too. If I ever want a over-the-top professional video, I'll call Tim.

Just kidding of course.

I always find it odd when those articles focus on the owner, rather than the people who built it. Looks nice either way though. Someday I'll need to figure out how all these CA owners deal with smog...

Anyways, thats the deal. Here are the charts and a little video. The good news is there is no drips, leaks or smoke and the car took it pretty well even though we were running at almost 120F ambient inside the Dyno shops metal building. There was one run with a boost spike to 28 psi that we had to get off on but it looked like it would have easily exceeded 600WHP. So now it is time for the 1000cc injectors and probably twin fuel pumps if George wants more power

Video: http://www.youtube.com/v/W41m_booc34

Dont mind the loping idle on the high boost run since I had to jack up the fuel pressure and I didnt re-tune the TEC down low to compensate. It actually idles real smooth with the fuel pressure at normal levels and with the big 83lb/hr injectors.

Any chance of a PUMP gas run?

I thought so, but wasn't sure. As it could have been 110 at 18psi with a lot of timing put in.

Nice!!

OT: and shouldn't share. We were NOT racing, just jousting on the way to a meeting with a friend.

I had a meeting with clients about 20 miles away from my office today. The attorney that represents my clients has an office in my building. I drove my car to work today. He drives a modded 2005 911 TT. It has an exhaust, modded ECU, and some other mild suspension work. Not a killer 911 TT. Our clients are about 20 miles from our offices. When you get out of town, the roads are four lane with an island between. We never raced, just jousted. My car would pull him every time. I never got to pull third to redline, but I was four to eight car lengths ahead up to 75mph.

My car just gets into it's stride in third. This was with 91 fuel and 16psi. We met with our clients and switched cars. He was amazed at the clean power of my car. He did state that their is less lag in his car, but once on boost it's the fastest car he has ever driven.

By the way, I liked his car. It's an amazing ride. I will admit that I prefer the air cooled AWD 911 TT cars.

We had fun today, and he has new respect for our little four bangers. We'll do this again at the next PCA DE event this fall.

George

A local here put this kit on his 996 TT. I'm thinking it would be a fair match for any of us.

I know. I was talking about the 1996-1997 last air cooled 911 TT's. Great cars. Takes punishment, unlike the newer versions.
