Yet another pearl white for sale

JoshB, How and where was this supposed "18" number verified? I am trying to dig more into this rare color and confirm with as many sources as possible.
Another update for all of you. I had the car looked at by several body shops and think I have found one I trust for my repaint. I also have an appointment next week to drop the car off at the local 944 experts shop to have it gone over a bit more in depth mechanically. I appreciate all the help here.
Scott951, I think I will be there Saturday morning so I will see you then

When you get it painted I would go to a lot of trouble to pull things off the car - quarter windows, sunroof, rain gutters, windshield washer nozzles, mirrors, door handles, etc.

Just my $.02, please do NOT repaint it...its called 'patina' and that is priceless.
The $ that you spend repainting your car would give you much more enjoyment if you spend that $ on 'enhancements'.
You're on the right track making it mechanically reliable. After that, its called a $lippery $lope. Ask many of how we know that. I am working on a '94 51K mile 968 that I am completely upgrading with a new Moton Clubsport/Racers Edge suspension and today, just confirmed my order for new Recaro racing seats.

Josh B, Mileage is 88,7XX. Can you send me what VINs you do have please? I stopped at my local Porsche dealer yesterday and the service writer was kind enough to look up the car and confirm the paint code was original to the car. I was pretty confident this was the case as the jams and other behind the scenes panels are pearl and the option sticker is still in the trunk.
Steve g, I wish the paint was presentable enough not to need a repaint. The pic I sent is of the nicest side of the car and it appears to have had some touch up work as well. The clear coat is off on the roof. best I can guess is because the original pearl sunroof was taken. The replacement that I have is black. When the sunroof WAS missing it looked like they covered the hole with some kind of tape because all of the clear is gone around the edge, also the clear coat on the hood is off as well. Both fenders are damaged too. This car was so close to being not worth repairing but once I found out the color is rare, and confirmed it was an original color, I just had to SAVE it from being a parts car. I plan on keeping it so I am comfortable knowing I may put more into it than what it is worth. To me it is more about saving it than the investment. I suppose having a "project" car is better than having a "project" woman...my wife it pretty sane...I digress...I will keep everyone posted and will even take some more detailed before and after pics.

MyMachV - sorry - didn't see your request for the VIN's till now. I am saving all the details of my research as I am hoping to own a Pearl 951 one day myself and don't want to drive up values
Rickb20 - the pearl 951s were only made in 1986. The only interior color combo was burgundy.
