New Link Datalogging Software

I've been really excited watching your development here of better software - it just might put Link back on my list, as right now they're not an option due to how poor their tuning interface is. Good luck!

Hi Guys-
I have been working on the project a lot and it is almost ready for beta release. However, I am using a control/library that must be registered with Microsoft for it to work in an executable file. Looks like about $125 to register it. Not much, but I am flat broke right now. I could front the money (credit card) if I could charge just enough to make the $125 needed. It would be a one time thing then the rest of the releases would be free. So the individual price depends on how many people want the software... I didn't want to charge but it looks as though I have to.

I was thinking more like $5 per person (assuming about 20 people would be able to do that) but $50 works too! As far as I can tell, registering only takes a day at most. As far as new features, I will always be working on new features but the beta will hopefully be able to convert to the right A/F ratio, TPS %, Zone number, etc. It will have better saving ability than the ComLink software as well as output formatting (ie. no extra carriage return between rows, comma delineated). But I will always be working to make a better software. Hopefully the beta will be out Wednesday of this week. (I blew past my previous mark but I've been really busy not to mention sick )

The pre-beta version is up...
I went ahead and fronted the money to register with Microsoft. Registering allows me to distribute this program to you guys... It doesn't affect me. We are running off donations at this point Thanks to everyone that showed an interest in supporting this development. The ultimate goal is to have a package like PCLink where you can download settings to your AFMLink. Like I said this release is a pre-beta, meaning it is very rusty and buggy but it is a start. It only saves to C:\ and names files "Log1.txt, Log2.txt" etc. The way you increment the files is to hit new run. Feel free to post any bugs you find - I know of a lot of them but it doesn't hurt to throw them out there (I haven't had time to polish anything yet). Just a little taste of things to come!

Oops-
I should have mentioned that it has the correct zones now, support for the WB02 signal on AFM line, and no extra carriage returns in the log. No NB02 conversion yet. (Just didn't think about it - but to some it may be useful.)
