Hey Karbokane-
Currently, the program only supports the SerailLink. As soon as Danno is able to ship me a USBLink, I will provide support for the USB versions as well. Pick which ever is most convenient for you...

Hey guys-

Just got the USBLink from Danno (thank you!)...
It is not what I thought it was going to be. The AFMLink treats the USBLink differently than it does the SerialLink. For the USBLink to work, I may need to modify the USBLink itself... Even if I do that, I'm not sure if it will work like we need it to. Basically the problem is between the AFMLink and the USBLink... Not sure if it is curable yet...

Aside from that, I am currently looking at modifying the AFMLink mapping settings via PC while continuing to program on the datalogger. Between this project, school, work, and my car, I am super busy. I will try to get a new release of the datalogger within the next week or so.

So I should order the serialLink and not the USBLink?
But if my laptop doesn't have a serial port and I use a serial-to-USB-converter what happens then? That shouldn't matter should it?

BTW, veeery very soon the engine is up and running again and then its time to install the MAP-kit and try your software

I just recieved an email from link usa. they told me that the usb link does not work with the afm link only the serial link and com link software work and this is for dataloggin only. i asked about using the usb to serial converter, hopefully this will work.

it would be great if you find a way to modify the usb link. also i still can't use your program.

cantresjr-
That is correct... The USBLink was not designed to work with the AFMLink.

What is the problem again with the proggie you are having?

Thanks,

Duke-
The SerialLink is a safe bet... We know it works.

I will continue working on the USBLink but can't promise anything.
If you don't have a serial port, a USB to serial adaptor will work... but that is another thing (unless the USB to serial adaptor has a virtual COM Port feature) I am going to have to program in the datalogger...

Okay.. make a new folder. Put the program file, mscomdlg32.ocx, and mscomm32.ocx in the same folder. Then run the program...

Mscomm32.ocx
Comdlg32.ocx
