This system is overkill for the car.
In the second picture, the little black wire coming out of the amp on the left side is a remote gain control. That amp is driving just the sub box. The remote gain control **** is the little dial just in front of the shifter in the third picture and it turns clockwise. There are no lines or numbers showing the level but it goes from about 7:30 around to about 4:30. Dialing it up to anything above about 9:00 is just nuts.

I should be finishing up mine within the month so hopefully things go as planned!

uhhh, what dealership did you go to? i remember going to my local dealer and the parts counter guy told me that my car didn't exist. we went back and forth about it and he insisted my car was never made….even though i had driven it up there.
i'll try and remember to snap some pics of the windscreen

Picking up cab #2 Saturday morning! I'm eagerly waiting!
I was looking for the OEM label with the options in the trunk wall just in front of the taillights but I couldn't find anything! It is suppose to be there right? I'll have a better look when I pick up the car.

I purchased a used S2 motor locally with a hairline crack in the head. The plan is to do a mild rebuild reseal etc and then swap my head onto it and put it in my car. That should fix my oil pressure problem
Getting the engine delivered this weekend. Yes I am crazy

I cleaned 20 years of grease from the used motor. I made good progress in the tear-down but don't have the triple square bit I need to pull off the cams to get the head off. Will pick that up this week and get it opened ASAP. Hoping the cylinder walls will be in good shape. The rest of the motor looks quite good and I hardly had to fight with any of the fasteners with the exception of the bolt holding the camshaft sprocket which I had to drill out.
I have to say working on a motor on a stand instead of in the car is allot more fun.

I'm thrilled! ... A friend of mine found a set of Ruf rims for his Carrera 2 so I bought his OEM 17 inch Turbo Cup One rims, fitted with Bridgestone tires, for $1,000!!! They're polished aluminum, which I hate, so I'll have them sprayed silver before I install them and post pics.
In other news, the fuel pump died, so I replaced that, along with fuel filter. Also had the fuel tank as well as injectors cleaned. Now she's purring like a kitten.
Next week, replacing front springs. and it turns out i only need to replace the clutch pressure plate cause the disc and throw bearing each have less than 2 k miles on them.
and I got a set of black 944 OEM flooor mats from Porsche.
