I have a Dansk (92.442S model) and I love it. Not really louder, but sound is kind of "fuller".

Black cab in Beirut.
I've been amazed by all the remarkable cars you guys have, and I thought I'd share mine with you.
So, what have I done to my cab.
I've had her since 1999. (shes's a 1990). has 90,000 kms on the clock, was 79,000 kms when I got her.
- changed color from metallic black to jet black.
- replaced rear plastic window
- all rollers and idlers replaced
- cam, balance shaft belts replaced
- water pump rebuilt
- repaired frayed driver's seat leather
- replaced gear shift leather
- basic service stuff ... numerous times
So essentially, its mostly original.
I plan to
- replace entire top cause its getting a bit ragged
- change rims, preferably 17 inch turbo cups if i can find a set ... yeah right, otherwise BBS classic IIs
- Tires
- 968 door handles (I'm keeping the mirrors, I think this style suits the 944 better than teardrops)
- Driver's side mirror (just the glass)
- Redo entire roller, idler, belt job, low miles but its been a while, not taking the risk)
- tensioner chain pad
- shocks and springs
- replace original relay for top (got a bypass relay right now, does same job but windows don't drop when opening top
- this one will hurt ... new clutch...
I'm not doing any of this just yet, maybe in the spring, after I run the car through a safety inspection so I wont have to worry about overshooting the deadline.
So there you go.

really nice deep shine. mine is also jet black.
the clutch is not that bad a job. plenty of how-to's on the 'net. i printed out 3 different sources and had at it. i wonder which is more difficult. a clutch job or belts/rollers/pad?

So I painted the front bumper, header panel, lip, side skirts, and spoiler on Monday and installed them on Tuesday (minus spoiler). Cleaned the car New Years morning, dropped the top, and went for a drive. The plan for tomorrow is to install the Broadfoot exhaust, work on fitting the custom mirrors before paint then install. More pictures when those items are done (hopefully before the weekend).
Let me know what you guys think. My brothers kept telling me the tires are too tall (and I sort of agree, 225/50 front on 16x8, 245/45 rear on 16x9) but it's the same size I see on other 944's and those cars look good in the pictures... I have a set of 17" HRE wheels I'm considering installing to get the "lowered" look. I'll decide what to do after the mirror install.

Welcome to RL. Nice car!
Looks good veleno.
I sent interior parts, sway bar parts, and strut bar parts off to be powder coated. Ordered a replacement rebuilt Blaupunkt Honolulu head unit to the one I just bought that doesn't work right. I got some of the stereo system installed but now I need to decide on speakers and a sub box. Any suggestions? I want to keep the same 10 speaker mounting locations.

Welcome and cab looks good!
Veleno:
Car is looking great. let us know what you think of the Broadfoot exhaust. I am still trying to decide on exhaust system, I want something louder and more aggressive than stock exhaust.

valeo, nice car. you don't see the classic bbs style rims that much anymore. gold colored at that.
its amazing what a fresh paint job does for these cars. it somehow makes them not look like a dated '80s car.
