Most flagrant misrepresented in pictures especially the dash no cracks in the pictures. It arrived from the owner to us with at least a dozen severe cracks. Doctored pictures throughout the listing.
This is nuts! I ran one of the dash photos through a program that looks for digital alterations out of curiosity, and the whole dash (in one photo) was as you say. Do they still sell on BaT?
This is a photo of the dash from the auction. You are correct that cracks can not be seen.
It is scary that it was badly cracked and the car totally mis-represented by 1600 Veloceeeeeee as they auction quite a few cars. Do you have a shot of the actual dash? I'm aghast that this would happen! $53k is big money for that car and what recourse was taken against the vendor?
The car you referenced looks like a really nice car in the photos: I'd likely have been fooled as well by those photos!

When I bought the XX8 car, there were receipts for a fresh timing belt job from one of the previous owners. Unfortunately the servicer did not replace the worn timing gears or the WP and Rollers and the belt has worn out prematurely and the whole job is being done correctly again after only a thousand or so miles. I was fortunate to not lose the motor.
None of us are above being deceived by unscrupulous mechanics or sellers. This sword cuts both ways as the conversation evolves!
I have given up commenting on auctions except to correct very basic errors or misconceptions. I have come to the conclusion that there is only downside for me. The only exceptions are, and will be, if I have worked on them extensively.
The BaT comments functionality is both a blessing and a curse.
Nice Strosek for sale. 1983 928S Euro. 301hp, manual trans and overall good condition. No big wing mounted. These wings comes out for sale now and then so it could be mounted later on.
The seller writes "strosek 3", but it doesn't have the wide front flares so it's a version 2 and not version 3...
