This would be a great car for anyone looking for an automatic.

My 87 is going to go soon, I'm no celebrity but Venice Blue with clubs and no rubs. I have been swayed by another Porsche and can't resist. Trying to figure out where to sell it. That first bid was a doozy for the Martin car.

Same again for his Front and Rear OEM Stabilizer Bars. He also misses that he has an adjustable left foot-rest for the driver.
I hope that he scores big, but he left money on the table by leaving out key features.

Good looking car. Same motor/trans as my 88 S4. Notice that he doesn't know to list his 4 wheel steering Weissach axle, though. Even shows it in his undercarriage picture, but fails to highlight it as if he doesn't know what his car has.

so i had a question about this, on my 87 there is no option code on the trunk sticker for the weissach axle. but on the window sticker i think it shows up there as "widened track rear axle" under standard equipment. this always led me to the impression that the weissach axle was standard on 928s. is this not true? any more info to clarify would be great, thanks!

"The GTS pushed out the rears, although I do not know if that was just tires or a wider track at the axle." Ed, The GTS has spacers between the axle and the wheel. As I recall, they are about 40mm (haven't measured one in 7-8 years!). So, the centerline of the tires is about 3" wider on the stock GTS set up than it is on the stock S4/GT suspension.

Every 928 was a Weissach rear axle - that is one of the defining characteristics of a 928, and not an option. It is part of it's DNA. Nobody ever lists that in a for sale ad. At least that I've ever seen. Also, a Weissach is not the same as a widened rear axle. The GTS pushed out the rears, although I do not know if that was just tires or a wider track at the axle.

Leaving that feature out of a spec sheet or ad is like omitting 4 Wheel Drive when selling your Land Rover even though they all have it. While 928 aficionados know that 928 models have 4 wheel steering, many potential buyers will not know that fact. As a seller, it's your duty to enlighten them to every advantage that your 928 has.
People will claim that you don't have to mention the obvious features of your car in an ad, but every person who says that simply didn't know to say it. That's just excuse-making.
Tell your audience what your car has, especially if it is a significant feature like 4 Wheel Steering or 4 Wheel Drive or Left Hand Drive or Automatic or manual-shift, etc.

4-wheel-steering Weissach rear axle is for a fact on all S4 models and at least 200+ Weissach edition 1982 928s.
