I can't imagine the finish on the intake is original. If it is, that should be highlighted in the description. If it isn't, it's an excellent match to original, which should also be highlighted in the description.
Black on black may not be unique, but it will never be dated.

Thanks for the complements! I'm finishing up a long winded description of the car that I thought might be a little long for this post but will share with anyone who wants and it will be what I submit to BAT.
The intake and valve covers were refinished with the proper Zermatt Silver Metallic that they originally were. I tried not to put too much "shine" on them. I used the etching and coating process that I had posted years ago. I originally refinished them 8 years ago and didn't use a proper clear that yellowed on me although the paint still adhered to everything perfectly. I refinished them this time with a single stage paint. The color should hold out fine this time.
Wow guys, that's lot's of good offerings. IMO I think if you have a premium 928 or any collector car for that matter, now is not a bad time to sell. The economy has been booming for near a decade now and a down turn is inevitable. Maybe next year or three, who knows, but it's coming and when it does the smart money isn't going to be investing in cars.
Methinks that mayhaps, perchance, the smart money will be investing in cars. --- albeit exceptional cars at lower prices...

I wish I had waited 6 months for your car to come on the market before buying my GT. Beside the beautiful condition of your car the turn key aspect should be the most appealing to potential buyers. Buy it and drive it home, the longer the trip the better! GLWTS
Here's a nice cassis rot over burgundy in Pittsburgh. I have recently driven this car, and know the owner well. He's had a few 928s in the past. This one is down on power, and he is getting that taken care of prior to sale (he is using the same indy as I use, so it will be fixed; they think vacuum issue). Otherwise, it is a well sorted car.

Yes. You are absolutely correct. My point was badly worded now that I reread it. Of course, those with disposable income in a recessed economy will be jumping on any lower priced premium cars..and that is smart. I guess my point is that if you want to cash in on the premium 928 in your garage selling sooner rather than later may be the move. Once the economy dips, those still with fat stacks won't be paying today's premium prices, and the rest of the general public won't have the disposable income they have today to drive the prices up. Basic econ 101 stuff which I have zero credibility in talking about, but it's fun to conjecture at any rate.

In the Porsche world even the "bad" colors are desirable. I find myself drawn to colors I would never consider on a "regular" daily driver. Now from an investment point of view? Maybe white? They seem to not do as strongly.
As I continue to thin the herd I now have my 90 GT ready to go. I thought I would list it here before submitting to BAT. It is in outstanding condition and has had a TON of work done to it including having the motor resealed and gone through (rebuilt heads, rings and bearings) by 928 Master Mechanic Sean Ratts. It will need nothing but to be enjoyed. I'm putting together a long list of things done and detailed history so please reach out to me if interested. I have owned it 9 years and I'm the fourth owner. As I recall it is a RHD 94 automatic. I thought it was a super nice photo...
I'm always in the hunt for a 95 5 Speed with no rub rails...
IIRC there were 11 painted in Amazon two were 5 speeds and three with cashmere interior the rest had gray. Most were 93's with a few 94's. It is a great shot. thx for posting. I do admit I am partial and lucky to have found a 5 speed without the rub rails in a unique color. I wish you luck finding a 95 5 speed without rub rails.
This GTS has a combination of options that I've not seen before on any US version.
Never mind the RHD (it originated in UK), but it also has:
5spd (rare)
Sport seats (rare)
No rub strips (rare)
Wood trim (very rare)
No rear A/C (I've never seen on a GTS)
No passenger airbag.
No knee bolster for driver
