For a full disclosure listing, take a look here:
https://www.copart.com/lot/37228668
Apparently the car covered only 1 mile in 1 year - between the sale at Copart & the shop.
I particularly like "An Outstanding 10+++ out of the perfect 10 with No Wear noted anywhere. Please look at the pictures. Excellent Seats. Excellent Dash. Excellent Trim and Plastic Throughout. Excellent Carpet and Headliner. Excellent Steering Wheel Leather. The car has Never Been Smoked in. No Kids, No Pets. Fully Detailed. Flawless."
Good thing that the car has been kept in perfect, unmolested condition, with no pets or smokers - ever.
I supposed "Flawless" "Original" and "Unmolested" are subjective terms.
Also sheds some light on eBay's standards. This guy apparently has 100% positive reviews.

This ebay auction is funny on so many levels. Not sure why the seller is so proud of a 2012 Sothebys auction sale for a mere 8900 some 7 years ago.

A reset trip odometer is indicative of a non functioning odometer likely.

His repair receipts seem bogus. Anyone ever heard of the shop?

Posting my '86.5 back on ebay with no reserve and a dollar starting bid. This car has no mysteries. I know that ruins all the fun! lol

Message or call me with any questions. Or Sean if you want a more educated reply.

Rolling the dice seems to be the only way to play the game. My plan is that the 928 and particularly this one are good cars.
Goal: Not lose my @$$. lol
I'm losing more as time passes so...Let's get this moving!

This looks to be a Weissach Edition though no crest on the dash. Any other way to verify from the photos? Hey Ed this one is over in Upper St. Clair. If it is a Weissach then the entry price is low at $6K, assuming it's in decent condition of course.

Its a Weissach unless someone swapped an entire car.

Wow, that is a good price if as advertised. I'll look at it if anyone wants eyes on it.

Clearly a respray on the LH rear quarter panel, but that it is a great price for a "regular" '82 with the condition of that all leather interior, if it runs and drives!
I wonder if they sold "that tacky old luggage" in a yard sale? Ha!

Ed, I wouldn't mind eyes on it! I can send you a couple bucks for the time. Its the Weissach I should have bought. If you can get the VIN we can see if there is history on the car.

Thanks

Hi NTP - I'll reach out to the seller and make arrangements to see it. No $ needed. I've had other listers put eyes on my past 2 sharks. Happy to pay it forward. Likely this weekend.

Bryan,

This looks like a good one. From the few teaser pictures, it looks like the pod and center console have been recovered. Nice stitching. You may want to include a picture of the entire dash and underbelly pictures.
GLWS!

Ha! I saw that and my thought was, "why would a person go to the trouble of taking pictures and posting for a classified, and not at least clean up the trash off the floor first?"
I guess the same type of person that doesn't know they have a Weissach.
