Claimed as a '79, no roof, no rubbies, but with 'S' updates? And an odd plaque on the ashtray door: https://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto...643662840.html

1. Muffler changed back to original
2. 16" phone dials switched over
3. Instrument panels' odometer show different readings and clearly stated "17k miles" on the ad, not a typo.
4. The current seller even go as far as purposely listing the current vin with "OO" instead of "00". Here is the description from the AD that Range Rover pointed out from 4/22/2018 and again in 4/23/2018 (BIN went from $49,280 to $29,280):NO RESERVE AUCTION

Default 1984 manual in the northeast

El Guapo lookalike?

Looks like a very rare color - El Guapo comes to mind

1984 Porsche 928S rare 5sp. Collector quality, excellent condition, dark burgundy on rare black leather with white leather seats and door centers. Owned since 1990, always garaged, always covered, no rain or snow. 100% original, adult owned, meticulously maintained. New 1996 Porsche GT style wheels, staggered 17 x 8.5 & 17 x 9.5 Paint, body, door jams, trim like new. Sun roof, all options, no accidents or bodywork, all matching numbers. New Brakes and slotted rotors. Runs Strong and sounds great. Approx 76k miles. These cars in starting to increase in value, this car really is in excellent condition.

I think we might be able to do something a little more punitive than calling him out.

Yes, love that red one! Wonder why it's for sale after such a short period of time though. The seller put 2k miles on it in 6 months, so he must have liked it somewhat.

I like it too. I'm an original wheels and steering wheel guy myself, but those are easy fixes if one wanted a more classic look. Incorrect radio (should be the Monterey), but the Reno is still period and looks good in the center console IMO.

Thanks Kevin for that shot of the 84 S, Beautiful. It does resemble Zyclamrot Met but there is only one 928 in that color (so I was told)....Is The Burgundy car for sale or have you added it to your collection?

Regarding the now infamous silver 78 fraud car in Phila/NJ, I know where their shop is.
They also posted a bunch of parts on the 928 facebook page. I message Vik Viktor there to go check out seats and exhaust. Drove 1.5hrs in Friday rush hour traffic to find the seats are gone. Eastern European accents, white mercedes (should have snapped plates). Calls his "brother" who supposedly sold them. Storm out and head home. Go to post angry response, but his facebook posts and even his account are gone.
But I know where that garage/storage unit is. There were several cars there. Again, wish I'd noted them all so we could all be wary of them, too.

Sounds familiar, wasn't he the one who bad mouthed Rich VM on FB recently b/c Rich required VV to post a price for his items for sale on his website.

yeah, hopefully the transaction didn't go through (like so many ebay car sales) and someone is saved.

I looked at buying this about 1 1/2 years ago. Very clean car, the interior is pearl white leather like Otto’s 928. Front seats need to be cleaned or redone, cracks in leather. He has a aftermarket stereo in the passenger parcel shelf and old fashion Chapman alarm system ( hood lock). Car started fine and idled fine after warm up. Would need TB, WP, tensioner, fluids etc.

Paint color is rubinrot metallic (ruby red metallic) and pearl white leather
