yeah, hopefully the transaction didn't go through (like so many ebay car sales) and someone is saved.

His post is gone but he’s still in the group. Is he the guy who was selling that car, or someone else? I almost posted up a beware about that car to see if anyone in the group was selling it. Wish I had, love flushing out the bad guys.

Pretty sure VV (on FB) and tailgater (on ebay) are the same person. He has been snatching up 928s almost as fast as Andy R and flipping them as fast. It's a shame, bc he actually has done a nice job cleaning up a few 928s that were neglected and really didn't need to do something like this (if indeed the instrument panel was changed under his watch).

Very sensitive on ebay. I once asked him about the moca brown '81 5 spd with 21k miles (legit miles), since I knew the previous owner, about the car's interior condition, and he freaked out and blocked me from bidding on it bc he thought I was working with the previous owner to "sabotage" his auction.

I had a run in with him when selling my 1990 928 GT, he tried to pull a fast one on me. Yes euro accent driving a White Mercedes, I actually spent an hour with him waiting on a wire transfer to come thru into my account. He wanted to transport my car the following morning. Wire never came thru and of course I did not release the car to him. Same m/o he was nowhere to be found or contacted after that. He had the ***** to tell one of my friends who eventually contacted him that I was a Shady Dealer. Real low life piece of garbage.

Does anyone have info about this '85 5 spd Chiffon White/Brown Pascha (most definitely aftermarket) being auctioned in Auburn in the Fall?

This was the "salvaged" '90 928 GT that GB/Mark Anderson know about that was asking $15-18k just 2 years ago. (story: barely had a fuel fire under the car, but no real damage)
Beverly Hills Car Club has their hands on it (probably not done anything to it since) and the asking:
$37,500!
Very nice appearing with CS ('89) wheels.

Default Red GT

Do they have an intern doing their listings? (and screwing it up.) Under item specifics they entered the vin as 00000, but it appears in text elsewhere WP0JB292XLS860187, which is not in the Registry. And the mileage as zero. Or has there been an engine change?

I love it when they slap some armor all on the rubber parts and call that detailing; but the interior does look good. Nice that they put it on the lift for pics of undercarriage, and removed the belly pans. I'm betting there are no pans to remove

edit: I spoke with Jared; He had no history or explanation about the errors with eBay, they just enter it that way and are more accurate at their web site. They did provide a car fax; the last entry is July 2014, passed emissions; does this mean it hasn't been touched since then? Mark's post here in April '16 says it was well cared for.

Are they really trying to sell that red GT at that price with all those missing parts?

I can see at least 7...

I count 8. I bet there are more. Interior: cracked dash.

Optimistic price.
