Is the piping actually custom ordered white? I've heard somewhere that the piping on the cancan red seats was originally cancan red and turns yellow from sun exposure...You can usually see by looking in the darkest corners of the seat to see the original piping color...
cool car though....nice grab..

Yes, the piping was originally red. The piping at the back corner of the seat (just below the black plastic cap at the bottom of the seat back) does show some red color. Now, though...it looks like white piping that has yellowed.

1990 S4. Seems like a reasonable ask but will surely need some catch-up...love the phone! BTW, it's on CL as well for $17.8: https://www.autoquest.net/detail-199...-17745204.html

I looked at this car in person for a fellow RL member last month. I spent about 45 minutes with it and attempted to actually drive it. When I pulled it out of their warehouse the TB warning light came on. I was on a one way street and couldn't reverse. Needless to say I didn't want to grenade the engine so I had to let it idle around the block. It also has a vibration that can be felt on the gas pedal. It's got lots of needs and the seller knows zero about the car and were complete diks to our fellow RL member when he made them an offer. I'll let him share that experience if he wants to should he come across this post. If anyone is still interested, PM me and I'll send you a link to the vids and pics I took.

George,

No, found it in Green Bay, Never in salt though and really nice seller who took great care of the car. It has a major torque tube problem though and have to sort it out before driving.

But it made it home just fine in this filthy trailer...

Cant resist showing off this color!
