..a little off-topic but it is relative to selling 928's:
Nate, in your before and after pics, it looks like the current seller of the red S4 did a lot to bring the car up to snuff. Why would he stop before popping a temp sensor cover over the busted up one in this AFTER pic???
I remember that you could get these for $20 or so from Jager(?). Are they NLA or I wonder if he wasn't aware of this quick cosmetic fix?

Good eye. I noticed that too. Probably because I am always looking at those since I make a 3D printed replacement for the NLA housing. Here is the thread about those...https://rennlist.com/forums/showpost...5&postcount=53
Jager still offer theirs. I'm guessing he wasn't aware they existed and almost certainly not aware of my solution since the knowledge of their existence is only through that thread. If I recall the price of the Jager cover varies depending on material and the nice ones that match the texture are closer to $40 each. However because they are bonded on the face of the old sensor they site a little proud of the surrounding console surface. They are a quicker fix than my replacement housings but I agree one would have been better than nothing in this case.

Hi Guys - I bought one of these Jager ones expecting it to be recessed on the back and it was not. I dont think it looks all that great because it does sit proud and leaves a bit of a gap around the edge where the old one has chipped away. Curious if anyone has a different pov or if you have found an alternative.

I guess my pov would be that one I offer is a better solution since it is simply a replica of the OEM piece. Shoot me a PM if you are interested in one.
This one was bought on BaT in September of 2016. Looks like the new owner has cleaned it up including a respray and a proper radio. Higher miles but at $18K, not bad overall.
The ebay add says "no rust ever and always garaged"........The Bat auction shows the rust and there is no way to know if this car was always garaged. The seller did a decent job cleaning the car up but has no problem blatantly lying in his efforts to flip the car. He better hope a lawyer doesn't buy it...
Coming home to me.
Thank you Jim.
Now.... how to tell my wife?
I think I'll just sneak it in the garage..... she'll never know it wasn't always there. 😂
