Yeah there seems to be low interest in that car, mine is going to be the next 1988 S4 auto on BaT quite possibly so that doesn't bode well. Mine has way more miles but might be seen as cosmetically better, color-wise. Plus if I may, I don't think the seller did a very good job with his photo gallery, considering all the "marketing advice" I got from y'all around here. The recommended westering sun at a cool locale is just not there. Here I see pics at a car show with full sun and the distraction of other vehicles, and some sun shots in his driveway. Not exactly Car & Driver cover material.

Claimed 100% original 1984. This has the cleanest set of platinum manholes I've seen yet.

That's mine and yes, the wheels are that nice. I'm looking at getting into a newer model. I have a couple of folks interested and am also contemplating a straight up trade offer from Hoi (hlee96) for his Grand Prix white 1989 S4.

very nice retcav. That color is sweet, and that is a nice presentation in the ad. You can't go wrong with a trade up from Hoi.

Another 928 with 0 preventative maintenance done except for oil changes. Last TB in 2004. I started to ask the guy about service and he got all pissy with me.
1 min in he starts asking if I'm interested or not. I said well if you have done nothing but oil changes since 2008, then no and your price is out of whack.
Dreamer.

Yeah. First thing that 'struck' me: those stripes. Ugh. Because: Race Car. With an automatic. (No offense intended to RogerBox fanatics, but a cruiser is not a race car and a race car is not a cruiser.)
Shame he didn't do even one complete fluid change in the last decade.
On the flip side, it's not crystal clear to me that buyers are consistent about maintenance. For sure they will pounce on a car that's missed some maintenance interval and attempt to drive down price. Yet, if the maintenance is documented they will drive down price by using the first category as comparables.
Or maybe I just really grumpy because I haven't finished my coffee.
EDIT: If you can get passed the stripes, is it really that bad when the units change to 'murican dollars and miles and compared against others? If indeed it has never been winter driven, that's worth a lot right there.
