A good way to market a car for sale is to let the pros do it. I've seen other local owners have great success selling through a classic car dealer that also sells on consignment. They detail, photograph and market the car then keep it in the showroom and manage potential customers with info requests and test drives. The seller pays a fee for the prep/marketing and a % of the sale price. Asking price and minimum acceptable offer is pre-arranged.

It may seem like a lot of trouble and expense, but unprofessional ads on Craigs List aren't going to bring top dollar. Selling through a consignment dealer usually draws well heeled buyers and off sets the fees.

Look into finding a place like this and hand the reins to them.

when you're selling, EVERYTHING is a marketing shot/for sale ad.

I know right? The trees and sky reflected in the hood, the ray of sunshine glinting through... I am such a great photographer.

Pay no attention to the white minivan in the background...

You know, I wondered about this. There is a place in Fresno that might be suitable. I will check into it.

Saw that car on craigslist for a couple of days. It doesn't have window on the trunk lid. Really trashed trunk considering front interior isn't as bad.

I have seen this car in person last fall. I didn't read the details in the auction but, the pics appear to be a fairly accurate representation of the car. I remember some issues with the paint around the side mouldings which are pictured (it's not wax...). I really like the interior color! Will be interesting to see where this ends up. Think his ask was +/- $29k.... the seller was kind of a smug know-it-all.
