Thanks. I talked to the guy yesterday, and know it's going to need a timing belt at a minimum. I'm just wondering what other hidden service bonuses await, and trying to decide if the 5 speed is worth that much to me, since there some automatics that I like more. I'm guessing mileage is not correct. Autocheck has it at 79k in 2001. 15+ years is a long time for 11k.

Look at the trip odometer. Reads zero, an indication it's not working.

Make the sale contingent upon an independent PPI inspection.

You can then ask for a refund or rebate depending on how bad it is = assuming you both agree to that up front.

No affiliation, but in catching up on this thread, this car stands out as a very good choice for someone. I didnt see anyone comment on it (it was posted in the middle of the Pascha discussions). Having a white over black car myself, I hope my 243K miler comes close to looking as excellent as this one does after my refresh. Free bump and GLWS!

It was no bids yesterday, and I don't want to try to outbid someone from here. If not, is anyone nearby who can take a look at it? I just moved to Raleigh at the beginning of the year, but am in Seattle until the end of the month.
The car last belonged to a friend of mine who used to frequent this site but, don't think he's been here in a long time. I don't know a whole lot about the car but, I do know he had many issues with it and it was a mess when he bought it. Pretty sure he never had it road worthy. Don't know how many of the issues were sorted out but, if it were me.... I'd look for anither 928.

Thanks for all the info. I've decided to pass on it. Too many questions for my first foray.

Very tempting...Would like more engine shots and underneath carriage. Don't forget this is CIS fuel injection...which I prefer! It also looks like from the one engine shot the ac condensor is gone??

Also very tempted but whatever created that white stain in the passenger rear seat worries me . It was bought in Iowa over the summer for $6-7000 if I remember correctly.

Yes, relatively rare cloth interior. Not many around as Tony has said.

May be a Euro non A/C car.

Not sure it's a true S. Overall looks pretty nice for the $$.

Uni-Stoffe was a standard trim option and available 80-84 in either beige or blue. IIRC Alex says his beige makes him feel like he's inside a humidor T

So between Pascha (Pasha), Uni-Stoffe and Berber, what is the rarest of the cloths? And did they ever offer a Tartan cloth interior? I've seen pictures but for some reason I thought that was just a promotional car.

My vote would be Tartan. IIRC Alex has one. T

My '80 Euro with Tartan. Likely the rarest although there are a few out there....
