some cars have leather on the pod and also the door sides. Could this be full leather?

@Rob Edwards - this magical list you posted - is that model Year specific? I’m on a slow hunt for a late model classic gray interior (MX) to short-cut swapping/restoring mine back to factory but have trouble decoding parts car sellers’ interior option codes. I tried using the 968 registry lists unsuccessfully. Knowing the letters for other classic gray combinations (partial, full, with or without matching dash-console and door pulls) will widen the options pool.

If you have or can point to a similar list for MY 87+ (Mine is MY91) that will be phenomenal - thank you as always!

@esharon- I don't have a list for '91 but I do have one for '92, there are 9 codes for interiors that include Classic Grey, that vary based on whether the dash/etc are vinyl or leather, the seats are leather, multicolor cloth or Porsche script, etc. I suspect they were the same for '91.

The codes are: MZ, WE, JJ, TH, MS, ZX, MX, WC, and JF.

One of the three pages that illustrates what's what for each code:

@Rob Edwards amazing! Thank you so much! Now I know what letter pairs to pursue. (Thankfully haven’t come across none of the 8 that aren’t mine).
Thanks again

Yes. For whatever reason, Porsche was very adventurous (relatively speaking) with the GB market S4s in the 1989-1990 era with deviated piping and (to a lesser extent) center sections.

Carpet should be linen, not black.

Tasty spec on this one- no sunroof '89GT with sports seats, bummer about the rubstrips.

Seat code ATH- Black
Carpet code 5FV- Black

M058 - "Impact absorbers front and rear, Bumper with shock absorber instead of
shock absorber-tube"
I167 - Bridgestone Tyres
M220 - Locking differential 40%
I383 - Sport seat - left, electrical, vertically adjustable
I387 - Sport seat - right, electrical, vertically adjustable
I393 - Forged Clubsport wheels 8Jx16ET60 / 9Jx16 ET60
M474 - Sport shock absorbers- Sport shock absorbers Bilstein '80-85, red Boge sport '86.5-95
I639 - 1989 GT
I690 - CD-Player "CD-10" Radio+ARI
01161 - FRONT AND SEAT CENTER STRIPS, in Linen. BACK SEATS IN LEATHER
01162- I think this translates to door inserts in Linen. (Google translates TUERSPIEGEL to 'door mirrors' but I don't think that's right..)
01261- M 418 - SIDE PROTECTION STRIPS - Seems that rubstrips got added as a Z-order (?)
04251 - SEATS: piping on the front and back seats in linen leather
09031- Carpet: Linen

In Europe, side protections were not a regular equipment for the 1989 GT (same as for the CS), It was added by using the Z order 01261.
