There were a bunch of 1984 model cars with some real headscratch-y option codes. I think I498 refers to the lack of the deviated color stickers in the Porsche lettering and the 928S badge, but I could be mistaken.

i know very little about early cars, is this a 79 or 80 model year ?

Rob, my auto trans '80 appears to be almost option free. I have the original window sticker and it shows only "Option Group F92" at $1370. All option code references I can find begin with M and I find no M92. Is F92 the auto trans? The car does have leather seats, dash and door armrests. Do you know what F92 designates?
