Hi Mark-

The data is above in post 5573 above. It did not have an airbag dash, from the factory, designated by option code I564. This option is found only on 81 ROW cars in 1991 and 1992. 72 are cars from '91 and '92 from RHD models (HK, UK, RHD Japan, Australia, NZ, and South Africa), and the other 9 were LHD ROW cars all built late in the 1991 MY, within 35 production numbers of one another. Begs the question of maybe there were some leftover non-airbag LHD dashes that they were unloading before starting GTS production? Just a WAG.

Thanks Rob! .. this car has wood console and door panels and analog clock in the console, indeed its a light gray all leather interior. When I took the interior apart for cleaning/restoration I was amazed that they used real wood pieces, not just some plastic pieces with wooden veneer over it. but it lacks the wooden steering wheel and shifter ****.

Then, it's a Porsche Exclusiv interior and this must be listed into the Z-orders of the car.
Is the build sticker of the car, under the carpet of the boot, still there?

The earliest car in the old PET database that has any rootwood pieces listed in it was a Saudi market car in 1989. The earliest car that lists any Exclusive options in the build sheets (that I can find) is roughly 50 cars into the 1984 production year, so the PET database wayyyy underreports the reporting of exclusive options. The '87 car Kamaro is asking about doesn't have any Exclusive options on its build sheet. So either it's dealer-installed stuff or it just didn't make the build sheet.

There's at least one '86 Saudi market car with rootwood - This car has 6 Z options (4 for the can-can red interior- 00311, 02101, 03911, and 08671, and 2 for the pearl white paint - 04251 and 06591) but rootwood is not listed . https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...of-86-row.html
