By any chance did you mean WP0ZZZ92ZKS842170? (You had a '1' in position 12, for a ROW '89 that needs to be a 4)

This car has exclusive options for both the paint, carpet, seats, and interior. They're listed below but I'm not sure what are all the colors used. Sounds like a really interesting spec!

WP0ZZZ92ZKS842170
1989 S4 5-speed
C00 - German market
M28.41 - engine serial # range 81 K 00001 >05000
G28.12 - transmission serial # range G 2812 2K 00001>20000

I328 - Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 (4 x 8 W) (ARI- Germany)
M474 - 1986.5-up Boge GZ twin-pipe gas shock absorbers, Fire Red (RAL 3000 paint)
M650 - Sunroof

01281 - SEATS/INTERIOR LT. AX. EQUIPMENT CARD NO. 772 #FZG. RECEIVED INTERIOR EXHIBIT -99-
01282 - PAINT: SILVER-VIOLET-METALLIC S 1791/103B 4 BASF POR 92 D

That was the number sent by seller. I have yet to go and see it. (WP0ZZZ92ZKS812170) Color match with photo of the sticker.

I'm going to guess that there aren't that many 1989 S4's done in paint to sample Silver-violet metallic, so I think the seller has the VIN wrong. This is a very cool configuration- Post more pictures when you get a chance to see the car!

Is the build sticker of the car, under the carpet of the boot, still there?
Yes its there but its hardly readible because of all of the carpet hair sticking on it! .. here it is :

The clearest option code visible on that sticker is 347, which was present on HS842123, but not HS842127.

There's a little bit of inconsistency RE: the contents of the competition package, at least with respect to wheels in the magazines of the day:

Car and Driver, December 1980: 16" manholes, rear spoiler, front air dam, bilstein shocks, manual sport seats, 3 spoke steering wheel, no rubstrips
R&T: Front and rear spoilers, phone dials with P7s or Goodyear NCT 225/50VR16s, sport shocks, 3-spoke wheel, and sport seats

But in general it is spoilers, sports seats, 16" wheels, and sport shocks (green bilsteins)
