Indeed. There are 264 ROW cars between 1990 and 1995 with this option. Mostly French colonies, Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Africa, Gulf States and the C99 countries, but there are 3 UK cars with this option. Weird.

Hi Rob, thank you for this. Really appreciate it: WPOZZZ92ZFS841238

I know the car's basic option codes but my car was built with four Z-Order production codes. Do you know what they are?

09791
09792
09793
09794

I suspect my car left the factory with body-coloured (Meteor grey metallic) forged wheels. Could that be one of the codes?

Thank you again.
Pete

Hi Pete-

Many '84s and '85s had Z-options that were not well described- After 1987 or so the descriptors are more complete. I have not come across those 4 before and I don't know what they refer to.

Thanks so much Rob.
Did many '85s get body-coloured wheels from the factory? Brian Long's book shows a couple of cars with this feature. I'm keen to find out if my car did. When I bought it 20 years ago the wheels were body-coloured and the finish / edging looked perfect / OEM, not as if a panel shop did it. But I can't access the car's original sales invoice or the first owner to confirm it.

At the very least there are about 70 cars that have the XD9 option for body-colored wheels and center caps. However, that option was only used between 1990 and 1995 (It's listed in the 1991 Exclusive catalog). Almost certainly there were body-colored wheels early in the Sonderwunsch listings that are defined by particular Z option codes but I don't know what they are. If you know the VINs of other cars with body-colored wheels I'd love to know them.
