Thanks. Hm. WP0ZZZ92ZLS841113 is an RHD. Database error? And it has wide arches(which of course don't need to be factory), like XX8. Were there ever any XX8 optioned LS cars? I always thought only MS were XX8?

Default '85 VIN check please

I purchased this 1985 S with 97K about a month ago which has been garaged and not driven since 2011. Currently black on grey interior but missing the option sticker. I'd like to know what was the original exterior color? The interior has been dyed grey over what looks like tan.

Database error?
If WP0ZZZ92ZLS841113 is the correct VIN, the data I posted is the same in both sources (The PET database and the build sheet) , it's a left hand drive '90GT.

The first XX8 car was a '91 S4 automatic, German market black/black, production # 1210195. So no, no 1990 MY cars had the XX8 option.

I'm afraid I don't have any color information for that particular VIN. Most repaints don't get the floorboards under the footwell carpets, that might give you a hint. Likewise the undersides of the seat bolsters (or the inside of the sunroof motor cover, which would be a lot easier to remove to check....)

thanks Rob for the VIN feedback. The car was a total repaint. the previous owner provided pictures which helped but didn't show if it was plain black or metallic. The repaint is a metallic black.

Good point. Either they were added later, were standard for the Spanish market without having to list it as an option, or there's simply an omission in the PET database.

Part of the regular equipment for a Euro 928 S (or S2, or S4), so no need to indicate it
