Looks like the concept spoiler from Porsche and what I had in mind for Just Peachy. Sorry my sketching is not up to your level. Very well done Matt, looks tremendous T

Thanks, very good to know. I think I'll leave it alone.

Car looks beautiful. How much interior are you going to put back in? You could paint the interior sheet metal gulf blue and leave it bare.
Keep up the great work,

Thanks Dave, I plan to finish the interior with its navy carpet and the thin navy leather i bought. It will be bare a while though. -Matt

Thanks Tony, I am very pleased with it. I'd like to find out if it provides down force. It looks right but proof would be nice. Your concept drawings
look good to me. We've both come a long way and will be nervous to drive these cars. Talk to you soon.-Matt

Not 100% sure where it goes on an '83, but I'd ASSume it's on the inside of the fuel door (?), as on my '90:

It'll add weight!

Not looking for slaps on the back, but wanted to share these. Coming together and getting cold out there. This car has taken on a whole new persona.
Can't wait to run her through the gearset.

Hatch strut parts are all Porsche, the clip is a left over (bent to shape) bit from my
sunroof mechanism.

Matt, the contour on the upper surface of the ducktail is Schweet. Great details!

BTW, tire pressure sticker for 78-84 is 928 006 508 00. The latest PPN list I have lists it as still available, price of 16.94, but I don't know if that's REALLY still available. Roger or Mark would know.

Thanks Rob, appreciate the help. I just put the doors on. They're so light. It made me think of the first car i restored when i was about 21 years old. It was a '64 VW
Karmann Ghia conv., and the 928 doors are much lighter than even that old VW's. That old VW would do 120mph when my Brother and I were done.
High compression and Web Cam with dual down drafts. Was a lot of fun and I met my Wife while
driving it.

Thanks Craig but it's got its defects that will need touch up. I try not to go postal anymore over them.

DIYers: rear bumper cover installation

If you find yourself doing this have twp helpers hold it while you plug in the electrics.

Then secure the 4 threshold trim screws (aluminum trim piece under the hatch)

Then secure the top corners of the rear bumper cover (8mm attachment lock nuts) while putting upward and outward pressure on the cover to get the corners tight.

Work your way down doing the same.

Putting the door hardware (locks etc) in tonight and hopefully the headlight assembly which has been repainted satin black after being lightened.

Thanks again Craig. -Matt

4-1/2 hours, just the simplified door lock mechanism, rear running lights and headlight mechanism. But i did upgrade to 80/100W H4s finally which will be nice
at night. I can't wait to look over the hood at night.

I have to respray the door handles and gas cap cover door they had a few
tiny dark specks in them. The inner hatch drill holes can be seen with the hatch closed.
I really like this Porsche now!

Fenders tomorrow night.

The driver's side rear quarter pic is what I imagine the paint color to be like (at least seen on my monitor)- outstanding work, Matt!
