Hope your Dog gets better quickly Ron, $4500 is a lot spent on vet bills, geez that really sucks.

Test driving I passed a Policeman going fast and loud. That video is still processing, i think the file is bad. But it was pretty cool.
Hatch pins have been squeaking while driving but just needed adjustment,
the hatch seal had settled down so it was an easy fix.

Going to do what Tony says and install a magnaflow to quiet it down.

I look forward to startling the Prius drivers.

My 928RS was always good on gas btw, and was our familie's 'prius'.

I only have V8s (3) or a V10 to choose from though. (work requires V8s and Family requires a big, safe V8 as well)

I never agreed they are gas guzzlers especially for a V8. But that may be individual driving style and the later cars may be thirstier.

Exhaust:
Rather than waste money on a magnaflow (temp exhaust anyway)
i will neatly cut the small o.e. resonator out of the exhaust removed
and use that.

Eurotrash, look how nice our Porsches look together, let's try an do cars and coffee down in Chester County
in the Spring. Have a good work-week everyone.

The size of the engine has nothing to do with how safe they are. Full frame vehicles tend to absorb the impact energy less, that's the opposite of what you want during a crash.

IMO000, by V8 i meant big vehicle as in our V8 Landrover.
It's a 2008 unit body vehicle, side curtains etc..
But between my F-250 or Bronco and a Honda Fit in a head on collision, I'll run right over it and they'll be in bad shape. Mass wins.

Anyway, after work i got the Lexan for the hatch installed
and made the side door lexan at work today as well (just like a 924 GTS)

I made the hatch lexan support struts out of lightweight american white wood or poplar. I have a lot of 3/4 scrap around and found a piece to router with the identical arc the hatch glass has. Looks nice.

Doors within 24 hours hopefully.

Wheels looks very nice in person in gloss black, bought the orange paint but decided i didn't want the lip painted orange.
Door lexan turned out great, I want to make a few different versions for different weather conditions.
Welded in the stock resonator will install and see if that quiets her down enough.
Cleaning and re-packing wheel bearings,

Getting ready to clean the '83 euro intake John Speake gave me. Thanks again John!
The parts are all there but very cruddy so i was think i'd start by soaking all in diesel fuel for a week or so. Looks like my L Jet injectors will work.

Tested exhaust with Porsche resonator, sounds like a 928 again only angry.

Should be nice driving tomorrow.

I have a lot of wire chasing/removal to do. But that is very satisfying.

Found some seats which look like 935 Lollipops, may pick em up tomorrow.

DEPRESS CLUTCH FULLY BETWEEN SHIFTS decal looks fantastic.

Now i don't have to bug my Wife or Son in 5 years before they drive it, so it is useful to me.

Need to get the lexan door glazing in to use her this Winter on nice days.

Running GREAT!

Fantastic!

What are you planning for the carpet? Something lightweight and rugged, in keeping with the overall theme of the car?
