Looks like someone who has little idea about the 928 - thought we should help him out.

A long time 911 guy discovers the secret 928 that no one knows about - not

Having just done this to an early '79 and towed in a newly purchased '79 in the same condition today, I wish him luck because I'm going to need it also. But man it feels good when they roar away at the end.

Bought an OB everybody here warned against, then stated it was too expensive and time consuming. Not very flattering.

No he has committed to a total restoration no matter what to return the car to a state it deserves. I will keep an eye on this. It looks fun. Previous owners are all fun to poke at.

I wrote this article. My apologies to you RKD in OKC if it seemed unflattering, but that's not the case. On the contrary, I'm flattering this car. Sure, I may have chosen a car that some may have thought wasn't worthy of such attention, but I saw it differently.

I've searched for quite some time before taking the plunge with this old girl and I think she deserves a shot. Crazy? Maybe, but I think we're all a bit of that to some degree. It'll be time consuming and expensive but what passionate endeavour wouldn't be?

I've fallen hard for these early OBs and I think any exposure we give them in the public eye through writing, gatherings, or whatever will be a benefit to us all in many ways. You seldom see articles about 928s in contemporary Porsche publications and I'd like to start changing that. So here's my contribution...

Pablo,

It was great to see this show up in my PCA email newsletter. In no way, shape, or form was the article negative. Not sure where all the negativity on this forum comes from...

Good luck with the project.

Hugo
