I only know 3 911 guys and they are all good guys. They own pre 74 911's though so maybe that makes a difference.

I guess I do know one other 911 guy that has a newer model. He also has his own Jet and pilot and his car is very nice as well. He stopped me at the gas station one night in the 928 and we had fun talking about Porsche's. Good guy too so that is my experience with 911 owners. So to answer the OP's question, I would say no but it sounds like his wife's co-worker is dip****.

sorry can't be bothered to read all 11 pages so if anybody has already mentioned this apologies.

Why not remind the guy that the 928 Was porsche flagship model in its day and also the fastest production car on the planet !

That should shut him up.

Wouldn't calling a 928 a **** Camaro be analogous to calling a 911 a **** Corvair, for those of you old enough to know what a Corvair was.

Just talked to a guy who just bought a 2012 911. He came up to stoplight I was at and gave the motion to roll down window. 'How do you like your 928?' 'Love it' I said. Told him I have 3 928's, 3 944's, and a 914 and asked if he wanted to buy one or more. He said no but really liked the look and sound of my '81. It is chiffon white and has the aftermarket exhaust from 928intl. So at least 1 911 driver is nice and knows a good car when he sees it.

I thought I wouldnt post but JoeJoe summed it up.

Porsche STILL makes a 911 after all these years. The 928 and 944 are just ancient bad memories (or nightmares) for Porsche.

Guess the 911 owners win after all.

Lol, the irony is that you proved us all right. Actually, the 924/944 are in a sense why you rich **********s can still buy a 911 today, if it were not for those "poor mans Porsche" cars (also a lie), the company may not have existed today.

Get the **** out of here, nobody cares about you and your 911. Your 911 is just like a T-shirt that says "i'm a rich, ******* with a small dick".

^^ Oops... i still don't take back any of the above.

My post was much kinder than the others. I was pointing out the obvious. He said 2012 911. There is no 2012 model 928 or 944. Dont blame me for porsche decision. If you have better theory lets hear it. This post should not offend anyone compared to the other posts.

The 2 door Panamera is coming out and the Boxter is what the 944 evolved into.

Wow, what a ******** to say something so stupid. But trust me, ********'s own every kind of car known to man. Including 928's and 944's. Good guys also own every kind of car known to man, including 911's. I even heard a nasty rumor that a few good guys actually own(dare I say it), Corvettes's. lol
