Default Are all 911 guys d*ckheads or what?

Stopped in a local watering hole with the wife for a few. She recognizes a guy that worked in her group 15 years ago. Small talk, what you doing now, etc, etc and the guy says he's Mr. Porsche, owned 30 of them, been building, racing, teaches competitive driving and all that. Wife says "he's got a Porsche too, it's a 928!" Mr. Porsche snickers and says "Nah I never owned a **** Camaro."

I don't know enough about the details of 911 vs 928 racing if there even are any but the guy was a smug ****.

Any tips for next time I see the guy? At least the guys here are helpful. Whats the deal??

Just go tit for tat next time you run into Mr Porsche and say to him: a 911 eh, aren't those the ones that sound like vacumn cleaners? That should light him up. T

Just ask him if he really knows how to drive that car. He will probably crash it as soon as he lifts to catch an apex. Most a-hole 911 owners out there really don't know how to drive their cars.

I've recently met some pretty nice 911 owners at a recent run. They were very informative and seemed to be nice and interested in the 928 and cars in general. This guy you met was obviously set in his 911 ways. Boxer enginer, better handling, better then a Lambo.. blah blah blah...

When people say they ride bikes, then they say Harley, I sorta cringe. So to me its just preference. When I run into people that are into cars, I appreciate that they are into cars.

So basically what I'm saying is, that guy's an ***.

I have several friends with 911's... one of them has an '04 GT3 in silver. The 928 gang rescued him one time and he can't get away from me in a little street drag race when I am in my GTS! He is quite impressed with 928's.

Most of the guys at the race track who have seen Anderson and Kibort (and MANY others) have to tip their hats to the 928 guys, or at least wave us past as we are so much faster than most of them!

This guy clearly can drive his car if he is a PCA instructor... Ok, that is not necessarily true, but he is probably pretty good. Oh, and he is a D!CK HEAD!

Sounds like the kind of person who usually demonstrates to those around them how much of an asshat they are. You don't really need to do much

There are plenty of nice 911 owners.. don't assume that his choice of car is the reason for him being a douche.

When he starts talking about his car, just tell him that you've been a big fan of those cars ever since you first saw Herbie in "The Love Bug".

I can't find it but someone will.... Send him the Youtube link to Mark Anderson starting in last place and finishing first in a crowd of current 911's while he drives his 24 year old 928. That is usually enough.

This? Where he modulates the throttle thru the turns AND passes 911's at the same time?

"Mr Porsche" is a piece of work. Not worth the time of day or any more discussion. Each model has its ups and downs. the funny part is your automatic can take his 911, I love the 928 and the 911 but for diffrent reasons. 944 once I get the bugs worked outm I may grow to like it too

I would'nt make too much into it. Dimwits drive all kinds of cars. You've got to sypathize with the guy a little bit. Afterall, how much ***** envy can any single man take?
