In the Colonies, that would be close to Taxi-cab Yellow. I believe in the UK your taxis are mostly black, and ancient, lol....

From the single engine pic it would appear that the front fuel hose is original, and maybe the one it shipped with from the factory. It is also critical to get the fuel hose kit right away and replace all those in the engine bay. ROG100 has it, and he may, possibly know how to ship to England - harrumpf, harrumpf. We've had more than one carbeque as a result of fuel hose failure in the engine bay.

Your electrical issues are typical for the marque and model. These cars have a lot of wiring and a lot of connectors. Please find the grounds cleaning thread, and locate then clean all the ground points. This will generally solve about 50% of your spurious electrical gremlins. Another quick fix is to pull back the pax side(or is it under the drivers side?) footwell carpet, locate the wooden cover panel, pull that back and wiggle all the relays, and connectors that go around the central electric panel. Sometimes water leaks down from the windscreen base into the footwell and can corrode the contacts on the CE board. There's a ground point while you are down there.

If you are not DIY kind of people, do find an independent 928 shop, which will NOT generally be a 'Porsche' specialist. The 928 is different enough from the legacy 911/912 that it warrants its own guru. Two more checks that should be done right away, besides what has already been written. On the right front engine bay, near the cross-brace, you should see a small blue plastic cap about 20mm long, with a tether on it. This covers the front 12V power distribution and is hot all the time. The blue cap must remain on or damage can result to the electrics rather easily. Next, look at the headlight actuator arm, in front of the radiator over on the left side of the car. It is about 6cm long, and connects to the headlight actuator motor, and runs up to the headlight actuator arm. While watching this arm, operate the headlights up and down, there must be a small circlip on the shaft of the lower part of the actuator arm. If that circlip is missing from the shaft, the arm can and will come down and puncture the radiator, which can be rather pricey.

Welcome, and congrats. I hope I haven't got my leftsies and rightsies mixed up, of course you can just operate upside down and it'll all make sense. More pics please, and enjoy.

Will know for sure tomorrow if the flex plate had been checked, and if not, it will be done next Monday.
I didn't know there was a uk 928 forum, handy!

Sharktuning works well, but its a system designed specifically for the 928. Generic chips usually aren't a good idea.

Hello-good morning from the uk!
Just spoke to brooklands, crank shaft and flex plate WERE included in the service and are all good.

I will investigate the fuel hose kit, I think today we are going to visit and talk to the garage which times the chips, it is specific to our modek, not generic, so that's good.
I am almost certain the blue cap is in there, but will check.

I am pleased to report no water ingres in. the fuse/relay box- passenger side footwell in uk :-) and as have a sunny, dry day, I'm going to remove, clean, blast with contact cleaner and replace every last one. Out garage is too small for the car, it's our daily drive so not to bothered by this.

Doc, any chance you could send a picture of what should be on the actuator arm? Just make it a little easier for me to know what I'm looking for.

I messing around with the car, but as we have no garage and no tools, very little i can do myself. I love learning the theory though.
This place is brilliant for that :-)

"Just spoke to brooklands, crank shaft and flex plate WERE included in the service and are all good."

Sorry to be skeptical but we hear this all the time and it is normally not true. If they checked the end float on the crank after releasing the flexplate they would have stated in the service report the actual end float in relation to the spec.

I asked Brooklands to do a Flex plate and crank float on my GTS and the first question was WHY? I had to explain to them what was required and how to do it and they had to go away and work out the time to do it. The service manager said they had done this but it was a long time ago. They came back and told me it was a three hour job at 60 UK Pounds per hour. I explained to them that on my car you do not need to remove the exhaust and that the lower bell housing was immediately accessible. This job should only take an hour at most.

Be very careful.

I just love the malaprops in this thread. "Forex" is a brand of gummy (prophylactic) here. A plate of 'em would be a bit optimistic.

At garage right now, was fuel pipe, being patched right now, race quality pipes to be fitted when they can.
On the upside, got pictures of underside of car, and a brilliant one of me lifting the entire car over my head-with no help I might add ;-)

There you go. Fortunately, these cars are galvanized so there should be no gaping holes in the floor.
