Mr. Tyson,
I am sorry I called you Roger. You know exactly who I am you have called me out by name in another thread then deleted the post, but to clarify it for everyone . I am ROBERT HUFF most of my friends call me "Bobby" I live in Cumming, Ga , and I don't hide behind ANYTHING.

I want to say this I do not know Randy personally, so this is all me.

I don't think Randy ever called you out or accused you of any wrong doing but you were defensive from the beginning saying you had no record of selling it to him, then once it was determined you did you basically told him he was incompetent for leaving it on the car.( I think we all know most of us do) . However I think Randy has right to be a little pissy , his car did catch on fire . Now if the gauge you sold him is different from the part numbers listed in this thread I will accept that I am wrong and apologize for what I have said . Am I the only one wondering why a reputable supplier (that everybody trusts) is selling a gauge that is at best sub-standard for the application when there are plenty of automotive or even marine application "fuel pressure gauges" readily available. Why take the chance with such a dangerous part . Mr. Tyson are you going leave the gauge on your car?

I think recalling and offering a refund on the gauges is a stand-up thing to do, I think the timing is a little let's say political considering early in this thread you offered to send him a new gauge . I am not sure what changed your mind between then and now about the safety of the gauge. But let's have a little compassion for Randy and his situation.

Mr. Tyson as far as being a coward (might be the only time i have ever been accused of that) I stand by what I have said and I own it. I WILL NOT DELETE OR EDIT THIS POST , as you have done in the past on controversial topics. Now if I am out of line about the specifics of the gauge you sold I WILL APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM AND TO YOU FOR WHAT I HAVE SAID.

Bobby

Roger never called you out by name, I did, and my post is still there from two years ago. If I recall, I also listed your home address but deleted that because it was an assholish thing for me to do.

The gauge in question is NOT one of the above part numbers previously listed and yes, a lot of us are leaving them on our cars.

Funny how you only come out of the woodwork when it has something to do with Roger bashing. Keeping up that MO shows your true intentions, because it sure isn't to actually contribute to the forum.

Yes, please do. Please show me any documentation that indicates that you and other 'knowledgeable people' told me specifically to not install the gauge permanently.

It's been 3 years since I bought this gauge from you so I imagine it's possible, but I know that I would not have installed it - nay, would not have even purchased it - had I been told beforehand that it should not be a permanent installation.

Thanks.

Randy could have been on his way to the mechanics with the gauge on to do some diagnostic testing. IMO how long the gauge is on the car is irrelevant, the big question here is what exactly failed. The gauge itself or the mounting method.
This question will be answered eventually, until then you are all unnecessarily speculating and not helping in any way.

I can only imagine where this thread would be if Randy's car would have gone up in a big fireball. Let's all take a step back and be thankful Randy wasn't hurt and the car is very much repairable.

He's breathtaking....

I've always thought he needed to wear jeans and drink beer more often.

Always see him in shorts, drinking wine... no matter the weather or company kept.

Sadly it is what we do best, or so it seems at times.

Here is one thing to remember, Roger is only the middle man here, he did not design the thing, nor did he come up with the idea, nor did he make any of them, he only sold the parts.

Seems there was a big rush to buy them, hell, we all like new goodies for our 928's, but in no way is this Rogers fault IMHO, he only gave us what we wanted to buy.

I am just glad that Randy did not let his car burn to the ground, and that is thanks to him keeping a cool head, under really stressful conditions.
