im lucky enough that i have access to a machine shop, but i might send my plates it. what would ETA be on that Carl? but, i will also hold out and see what happens before i send them in. but this seems like the fix if that hat has the right dimensions to eliminate slop.

If you understand how a suspension bushing works, you realise that this pin should NEVER turn inside the hub, shock or bushing. The rubber of the bushings are what twists taking up the needed deflection.

I will wait to modify the design of the original part until after we have installed several sets of these modified rear tie down brackets with the hat bushing on cars and run them for a while.
I want to be certain that our improvement is truly just that before modifying the original part.
If you want to be one of those to test/try the modified design, just send yours in and I will modify them for free and provide the hat bushings.

I have..and I need to see when I MAY get shocks for the car..cuz i think it'll be worthwhile for us to take it all apart, and get a good baseline on the HW in this car...
So..I'll get shocks from Roger about the 10th, or Koni's, Gabriel...what the heck over I can find..soon after that.

I have the fix in hand, just haven't had the time to install it. I won't be able to get around to it until the first week of August, hoping the weather breaks here by then. No way am I going to get under the car to install when the temp is the garage is approaching 100. I'll post how its working once I get it installed and put some miles on it.

Good. I am waiting to see if this is truely an improvement or not, before I modify the production pieces.
Only a month of driving or so will tell, and feedback from customers.
If you read the thread above, you will see that some have had no problems at all, while others have.
The nuts have never loosened on my race car, for example, and they have been on there 3 years!
The new design should work too, although I am a little concerned there may be a click or clunk as the step-washer moves during cornering. We'll see...

Just installed the modified plates today. Took it out for a quick spin, no creaking noises. too soon to tell if there any any unwanted side effects, but for now totally quiet.
I did have the nuts loosen over time without the modification. I will be taking car on spirited drive tomorrow, and will be putting miles on over the next few weeks, will post update letting you all know if the nuts are loosening or not. I doubt they will because the pins are not tightened to the plates, plates rotate on the bushing now.
